AE86 SS version with best everything and drift setting.

Just exactly how good is this car? I've seen my friend use the car against a R34 V spec II (mildly tuned) in Trial Mountain and he was able to take the R34 in corners. It was an amazing feat watching the under powered car take on a R34 then succsefully pulling away from him in the corners.

i had the same incident , me and my friend where racing or drift racing and in the corners i would catch him, and on the straights at about 120 i would start to pull him all in all it was cool, i will post vids. here sometime, i wonder how many people use this car

when properly tuned the SS trueno can hold over 375hp, through methodicaly doing speed tests, changing oil, adding the next turbo in a specific order over time. its by far the most used vehicle in the garage here

HERES A GOOD 86 trueno CHALLENGE++
race the EVO VII in rally mode on Special Stagey Route 5 WET
go for the most difficult race, its REALLY hard. the EVO exit speed is so much higher than that of the 86. on the flip side the evo cannot enter at the suicide speeds the trueno can claim. the final gear will have to be pretty high for the last straightaway, and soft tires all around, all driving assist off and with low lsd levels. this can be done and requires alot of patience and tunig( duh ). Its going to be an intense battle, and the only motivation i had was to prove the other guys in the room that the 86 could really keep up with an EVO ..... just like in "Initial d"! ......somebody said it was just a cartoon....what?!:confused: :embarrassed:

in real life 86 does have chance. It is because one of the biggest advantage of 86 is being a lightweight car. a lightweight car can enter corner at much higher speed than heavier car. I'm not sure in GT3 though, I haven't play it enough to know if weight really effect a car's characteristic.

An AE86 has an advantage not only for that reason..but due to it's high revving it is less affected by cornerning and the RPM drop in the corner

I hear that. The 86 is such a great challenge to drive, I don't think I would have been able to get as good at drifting as I have if it wasnt for the 86. It really teaches you how to handle a RWD car (compound drift on Midfield hairpin WOOHAA). Also messing with the settings on the 86 teaches you more about the effects of your tunings than other cars seem to, it just gives really good feedback.
