Just saved 4.5 million, What race car will help me beat GT Championship...

As title says. Ive looked around and saw the Audi race car. So far it has my attention. What do you all recommend?

Firstly try a quick search on this forum for [SEARCH]GTWC[/SEARCH].
You should find a plethora of threads related to this topic, it's one of the most commonly asked questions in this section of GT Planet, so you're not alone! 👍

Secondly, it's sort of foolish to waste 4.5 Million Credits on the Audi R8, when you'll win one for free for completing the Circuit de la Sarthe 24 hrs I race in the endurance hall.

You'd be better off spending your hard-earned cash on a car that you're not likely to win a duplicate of.
Best guess from me would be Mazda 787B Race Car '91 which can be had for 3,500,000Cr leaving you with 1,000,000Cr in the bank. 💡

You could also wait around until you hit day 694 and buy a couple of the special "Black Beauties" (Search for them if you don't know what I'm talking about), and don't worry if you've passed that date, they'll come round again in the used car lots every 700 days.

*edit* A couple of other things of interest for this series. It has been won with lots of different cars, you can read about my exploits here in an unmodified Bentley Speed 8.
Old Geezer managed to beat this in a modified JGTC car on a couple of occasions, reports for which can be found in the Race Reports forum.

The AI lineup (cars you race against) can be critical here. If you're looking for a challenge, the lineup I opted for is about the hardest you can find. However, the lineup after that, it's either 6 or 7 (I forget exactly which) is much, much easier, having only the Toyota GT-One Race Car as serious competition, and things like Camaro LM and McLaren F1 filling in the gaps.

Do some lineup seeking, note down how many times it takes of entering/exiting the series to reach a specific preferred lineup, and then reset your console. Go back with the same number of enter/exits and you'll find the same lineup. Go as hard or easy as you'd like. Have fun, and enjoy! 👍

For the record though, I'd vote for the BMW V12 LMR, as it cannot be won, is an underappreciated car IMO, and you should have little trouble winning the GTWC with it while still offering a challenging and competitive race.
