Hi, Go with the MX-5, buy some of the hardest slicks, give it an oil change (boosts the hp a little), then win the Apricot Hill Endurance, Pays out 100k if you win, you might even be awarded an F1 car too. If not you have another MX-5 + 100k in the bank

I started with that car and i did pretty well
win as much as u can with that car and save up to get the mustang ($31,000)
then get a na upgrade to boost it to about 540 hp

There are 8 different cars you can buy as a first car.
I bought the Sprinter Trueno, but I know a lot of people don't like it. Out of the 8 cars you can afford to buy as a first car, the Trueno is the best buy. It's got more HP than all of them except for the Pt Cruiser, but it weighs less than the PT.
You might not want to buy the Trueno though, because you will win a better version of it for winning the Sunday Cup.
try to get as many licenses as possibel too

I went for a different approach, I started with a vitz, upgraded with the spare cash and won the first 2 cups fairly easily, then i moved on to the engine specific cup and worked at that for a short time, the reason I started with the vitz is the vitz cup, good way to make 35000 cash and a prize car for doing 5 races of 2 laps each.

But this game is the NUTS!!!!
I think my girlfriend is almost certainly gonna give me the boot. Because if I tell her I'm staying in to play my Playstation, she will think I'm seeing another woman.

I chose the Miata, and was very pleased. It allowed me to race a numer of series and win a bunch of cars before I had to start upgrading other cars.
It's good for the FR, The Sportster/ Roadster, The Turbo (If you Turbo it), and the 80's, as well as the first two. You will win a trueno and a Vitz, and a lightweight car pretty soon too anyways.

The first car i got was the mazda miata. It was ok but not very reliable when it came to the later races.

I won the Miata LS from getting the golds in B licence. Its a bit better then the Mx-5, but Not NEARLY worth the effort haha. But id does give u some satifactin of getting all golds. So if u have 3 days to spare go for it.1day for the first 7 tests, 2 days for the last.
My Miata LS unlike the regular, I dont think I can boost wiht turbos. so now I'm saving for the n/a Stage 3. WEhich might take some time for a begininger cuz it costs 70k. But my pick is the Miata

Hey man, I'm a newbie too and I started with the pt cruiser and then saved up enough $ to buy a new car. A really nice car is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, it has a nice speed and corners like it's on rails, it's 4WD which adds a little bonus and when tuned up it screams like a banshee. Even the game developers recomend the Evo VI. It's a nice purchase. There are two models of the Evo VI, I bought the cheaper one for around 25,000 cr. I just started and I had some ?s about tuning my car but this is definitely a good place to find answers.
