Kaiju Combat is a fighting game made by the people who did the Godzilla series that released games in 2002, 2004 & 2007. This game is different however, instead of being an Atari release for consoles, this will be a Kickstarter funded game made for PC's. What is different however is that there will be many releases, like Gamera, Godzilla and Custom Characters for example, and think of these releases like the Lego Harry Potter, Lego Star Wars and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. Nobody can tell you you can't make a Jack Sparrow StormTrooper Wizard. To see more info, visit the official Toho Kingdom thread on the game here and a YouTube video done by Simon Strange (The head of this games development) talking about the game. The video seen here will be put up on the KickStarter page. Here is that video for all of you who don't want to click that link

When it is put up, I will put a link to the KickStarter funding page. The current reward scheme is something close to the following:
$5 - Get a login to the game discussion forums, where you can participate in all design decisions.
$15 - Get a free copy of the game upon release.
$30 - Get access to bi-monthly beta builds, so you can play the game in-progress and give better feedback.
$50 - Get a free copy of every release of the game (all future content is free for you!)
$100 - Get access to weekly builds, so you can keep your finger on the pulse of development at all times!
$200 - Get your voice in the game, reading one or more of the announcer lines.
$400 - Appear in the opening cinematic (must be able to travel to LA area)
$500 - Name one monster to be in the game - including any original monster you have created.

(Rewards are cumulative - you get all rewards up to the amount you donate.)

The great thing about Kickstarter is that if, for some reason, we fail to make our $300,000 minimum goal, no actual money changes hands. If that happens we just re-scope the project smaller, and try again. But we're hoping to make at least $500,000 or more! (Enough money to do everything we want!)

I am watching this! Been too long since Godzilla Unleashed!!!

According to Mr. Strange, the Kickstarter page will go up on Monday, I personally will donate $50. Mr. Strange has said himself it would take only $500,000 to get everything the development team want in the game.

Sorry for the double post, but news has arrived.

The Kickstarter page will go up 9 AM EST July 2nd and stay up for the entire month of July.

Also, Mr. Strange has released a new video for the intro

As I suggested on his YT, he should get in contact with the Toho Kingdom fansite, as then he would drum up a considerable degree of support.

Save the Earth was fun to play. I'd like to give this a try.

I'm with you on that one, NASCAR Thunder 2004 and Godzilla: Save the Earth were my first ever video games (Didn't get a console until the Christmas when I was 6.)

Another selling point: Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses has agreed to do the music for it. This is great news
