Well, this is an idea ive been pondering on for some time, for a fun race series using Kei Cars with a slight twist; When you sign-up for the event, you choose a car out of a list of 31 cars and use that car for a series. So every car in each race will not the same, all the vehicles will be diverse and will hopefully be many moments where anything can happen! :D

RULES
o Only driving aids allowed are TCS and ABS
o The car can be tuned as much as you wish, Suzuki Cappuccino's are allowed except the RM version.
o Any grade sports tyre you want, but no Racing tyres are allowed.
o 420 PP (just lower the BHP or add weight if you have fully tuned it, its better to tune it first then do the Power and Weight reduction parts)

UPDATES
SuperGTRacer Added, Daihatsu MIRA TR-XX Avanzato R '97 now taken
16 Sign-ups instead of 32, and Fiat 500R Taken out of the listings, 32 would've probably been too much for my first try at making a race season :scared:
Alaingeronimo87 Added, Mazda Autozam AZ-1 '92 now taken
23/4/2011 - Added monkeyfoeva21 and Tweetman_277 to listings, made some slight tweaks, and pretty much getting this thing up and running again :D
24/4/2011 - Added Joshua1994, machate-man, si_berian_tiger and baja_j to listings, Adding 420PP rule to match the Kei Car Seasonal, since everyone is probably sticking to that it will work here as well :)

It might help if you tell the time and day of the week you plan on running races.

I havent thought about the timings of the races yet, still trying to work things out, but i will try to have some sort of scheduled time for these races as soon aspossible :)

How do you limit the top speed?

If players set their top speeds in the fully customisable transmission gearbox to 135, most kei cars cant really go faster than this anyway so there shouldnt be too much worry about this, but whether i keep this rule for future events im not sure yet,

you could just restrict users from installing custom gear boxes. It really changes the tuning strategy when you are forced to use more than just the top rpms.

First things first, I am terribly sorry for pretty much forgetting this thread existed :scared: , I feel like a right idiot, although I have also been pretty busy the past few weeks.

Secondly, I think I will leave the transmissions to be any the user chooses, as it makes it easier for us all in the long run and we dont have to force-check top speed limits. However i appreciate the suggestion and could be interesting, although right now, as this is my first event of sorts, i think keeping it nice and simple is good enough for now.

Thirdly, i will add you two guys to thelist of vehicles :D

and Finally, I will begin to decide on a 'race-date' when PSN eventually comes back on, and a possble track decision and a test race hopefully :)

the PP idea to match the current seasonal is a good idea actually, since it keeps the cars fair without restricting the use of upgrades to the car [which was the original idea regarding the transmission, but PP probably works better].

I'll add you three to the list as well :D

EDIT - added josh from the post below ;)
