No.

NTSC/NA is in miles and mph. The release covers Canada, where they use km and km/h.

PAL is in km and km/h. The release covers the UK, where we use miles and mph.

But most Canadians still know what miles and mph are. (The inner of the two concentric dials on our speedometers). Fahrenheit, on the other hand, that most of even us old folks are losing our reference points for (although 0F really did seem to be the beginning of really cold...).

And Brits still know what kilometres and km/h are (the inner of the two dials on our speedometers). But we use miles/mph as you use km and km/h, and as such our releases of every Gran Turismo game until GT4 did not use the appropriate local measurements.

Well, the difference is the UK never used the metric system for distance and speed, whereas Canada did use the Imperial system. Furthermore the U.S. still uses a modification of the Imperial system. I.e. so the situation in Canada is not as bad as the UK wrt to units in GT games.

I can still remember the conversion taking place.

Bicycling a metric century still doesn't really count.
