does anyone here know how to remove hardend tree sap from a vehicle with out damaging the paint? Is there any easy home made solvent I could use? instead of wasting 8-10$ on somesolvent ill only use once..

damn pine trees crapped on my car

I always found using REALLY hot water helped - just had to be careful with it on the glass if it's really cold.

Oh yeah - sorry to be a bore but I'm going to play the AUP pretty strictly here - including language - so if we can just keep a bit of a lid on it fellas -

BTW vat_man, do you see a lot of magnas riding around?

No problemo - as I say, I'll be keeping it pretty clean in my forums now, so just bear it in mind.

Re Magnas - puh-lenty.

Had the VR4 in the early 90's, but they stopped imported that version of the Galant many years ago.

This was the model - great car.

The Magna's actually getting an AWD option in November, adapted from the Japanese Galant. That hooked up to the 3.5 litre V6 and a manual gearbox would be pretty special.

::bust down in tears::

WHY CANT WE US CITIZENS GET THOSE GOODIES!?

I wonder if you can fit a mitsubishi AWD drivetrain on a US Diamante...

There are a couple of Galant VR4s floating around. I don't think they lasted very long; I guess US citizens don't like AWD turbo cars. :odd:

I think they have the same powertrain as Eclipse GSXes.

On Topic: What about a clay bar? Supposedly they'll remove all kinds of impurities from your finish. You will need to wax the car immediately after using one though....

About the Australian(I spelled it right whoo hoo)models...you guys have Miata SP Turbos there...they are basicly the US Miata with a turbo...I bet if I had the new Miata that I could order the turbo for it from AUS...same with the 323 S Turbo which is 4WD too...my grandparents have a new MP5 it sounds like a plan...

But, my grandma wrecked it into my uncles car the other day cause he parked on the driveway and she backed up and sideswiped his Maxima(an '87)...

it's a pitty.

Well, the Diamante is a Magna with US bumpers and nice interior trim. I would suggest AWD might appear on the US model sometime next year.

That's probably understating the work they did on it here - it's a low pressure turbo installation, and don't forget this car's been built to sufficient standard to carry the Mazda new car warranty. They did do a little work on the suspension, mostly lowering it and firming it a little.

I remember early on in the MX-5's life Rod Millen (who was rallying 323's at the time) released an aftermarket version of the MX-5 that basically had the motor in Group A rally spec.

Dude...your avatar...the way it is it looks like breasts(like it's supposed to), but flip it over and it looks like legs and that other area which I will not mention...

Is that Avatar allowed? It's just that if a teacher sees that at someones College/School they could be barred from the PC's :computer: for life?
