KTM X-Bow for Willow Springs 20 mile challenge

Could you please help me tune out my KTM. This challenge is kicking my ass and I'm at wits end.

I use the same set-up on the X-BOW R at 600pp just may need to adjust transmission a little for extra power. Hope it helps.

Did you follow how the transmission settings were laid out? Final gear, top speed, forward gears, and then adjust final gear for track. The last part is key because if you change the top speed setting after setting the rest of the gears, the forward gearing changes too. I know it can be very confusing so if you don't understand it, we can try to explain it better.

Ninja edit: to get more possible speed, lower the final gear.

Hi, glad it worked for you other than the transmission. @DaBomm4 is spot on with his advice above, I use @praiano63's method for the transmission tuning so you can check out his guide to explain it in more detail.

Just a couple of questions and if you want I will do you a custom transmission for the track.

1. What tyre option did you decide to use?

2. What pp do you want to run the race at?

3. What extra parts did you install if any to reach the desired pp?

4. What driver aids, if any do you use?

I will have a look at it when I get home from work today(about 4-5pm BST) and make a 600pp version so you have one to try later.

Hi again. I have done a little work on this for you. I did all the tuning with all aids off except ABS on 1 and re-checked with SRF on and used all 3 sets of sports tyres for testing. These two settings worked best for me.

For 600pp: Add stage 1 engine tuning and Mid range turbo. adjust power limiter to achieve 600pp, I have 97.2%. Then reset transmission to stock and refit custom.

Now follow the settings in order

1st. Set Final Gear@: 5.000
2nd. Set top Speed @: 112 MPH/ 180 Km/H
3rd. Set Individual ratios to:
1: 3.542
2: 2.613
3: 2.019
4: 1.621
5: 1.349
6: 1.165

4th. Set final gear to: 3.000.

Coming out of the last corner in Free run at average speed of 123 Mph (I'm Not very good at that corner...lol) it will hit 163 Mph on the main straight and will give you up to 173 Mph for drafts.

For 619pp with 517 BHP. Add Stage 3 engine tuning and High RPM turbo nitro. and follow the steps above.

Set Final Gear@: 5.000
Set top Speed @: 112 MPH/ 180 Km/H
Set Individual ratios to:
1: 3.111
2: 2.425
3: 1.950
4: 1.613
5: 1.366
6: 1.194
Set final gear to: 2.950

Exiting final corner at 135 MPH , Top speed 180 MPH. Should be good enough

Had a couple of easy wins at in 619pp version, just under 550k for an afternoons work...thanks dude!
