A new GT4 spec of the KTM X-Bow. With KTM already in the game there's a pretty good possibility of this being a feasible addition I think to the GT Roster.

Potential Specifications: (thanks @StarLight)
0-60 time: 4 sec. (Est.)
Top Speed: 155 mph (Est.)

He, I know you from the GT5 'hackers" forum ... welcome!
We can use new cars and this one is very nice.

But the title should be:

KTM X-BOW Racecar 2015

Little specs:
0-60 time: 4 sec. (Est.)
Top Speed: 155 mph (Est.)

Further there’s no word on the purpose of this new race car outside the desire to deliver a "racing car that can compete in international races," but there is a possibility this X-Bow is being built to GT4 specs.

Reiter Engineering GmbH & Co KG and KTM Sportcar GmbH are working together on a racing car that will be available to customers in Europe, the USA and Asia. The construction of the vehicle and all of the logistics, including sales and supply of spare parts will be in the hands of Reiter Engineering.

The joint motor racing project represents a continuation of the successful partnership between Reiter Engineering and KTM Sportcar that dates back to 2008 when the cooperation resulted in overall victory in the “GT4 Sports Light European Championship”. At that time German driver Christopher Haase won the European GT4 Championship title driving a KTM X-BOW GT4, fighting against tough international competition.

Shouldn't really be racecar though should it, as GT4 is the car series it is intended for? Don't see this on other posts here. Thanks for the specs, i'll add them and link them in OP and credit you 👍

GT3's are equal to GT300's.
Oh. That actually makes sense, if only because of the similar class names. I thought in terms of specs, GT3 cars were closer to GT500s. Are there any classes comparable to GT4? I thought GT300 cars were limited to 300 horsepower or so (hence the name), so this should be comparable to a GT300. Though I have heard of GT3s racing alongside GT500s.

Okay, I understand no problem but you should remove the parentheses in the year

GT300 cars produce anywhere between 360 and 500hp (500 mostly reserved for the GT3's), but the Prius for example produces 430hp. Current GT500's are more comparable to LMP1 cars.

Oh. So closer to some older GT500s then. I guess that's pretty close to GT3 levels of power. What kind of power do newer GT500 cars make? 500-600 horsepower?

The NSX is quoted at about 650hp, the Nissan and Lexus slightly less, but I'd still put them around 600.

So slightly above GT3. The Cadillac ATS-V GT3 makes 600 unrestricted, but it'll probably be restricted to 500 something.

You have to remember GT3's are production based, whereas GT500's are essentially prototypes.

..............so it's a vaporware. I did vote because X-bow is stupidly fast car but I'm reserving my judgment until I see the actual production-ready car...

Errr... no, it's the teaser pictures. It's Reiter Engineering's new project. Also, it's a race car.

..................Looks like CGI rendering to me....:odd:
It is. Because right now, all they probably have are the prepared tubs. "Vaporware" is usually reserved for art student renders and dodgy startup hypercar companies with ludicrous claims and no credible backing, not initial sketches of a race car from one of the world's most renowned GT teams. I don't really understand what's not to believe about it. :)

................It's my suspicious nature I guess. Even the big car makers cancel what looks like a done deal. So as I said, I'll wait...

Hmm... It looks suspiciously like it was modeled off the "Stratosferica" roof & body kit that was shown off a few years ago and lead to the development of the X-Bow GT, rather than the GT itself... Either way, I have a hunch that this car will get made into reality at some point (As X-Bows were a bit of a head-scratcher when they raced in GT4 among more "Proper" cars and honestly are a bit out-classed compared to the purpose-built cars that run in the Group CN class) so Voted.
