Actor David Carradine found dead
American actor David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok, Thailand, hotel, according to his personal manager, Chuck Binder.

Binder said Thursday that the death is being investigated but could provide no other details.

Carradine's death was "shocking and sad. He was full of life, always wanting to work ... a great person," Binder told People magazine.

Carradine, who became famous in the 1970s when he starred in the television series "Kung Fu," was 72.

Modern audiences may best know him as "Bill" in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" films

His career included more than 100 feature films, two dozen television movies and theater work, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Shame, he was always a fairly entertaining actor.

I had a feeling he wouldn't make it for KB3. Poor guy.

I'm trying to determine, based on the BBC story, if they are saying it may be suicide or some crazy Triad killing. It just seems weird.

The original BBC story said he was found dead in a wardrobe with a rope round his neck and genitals...

Which doesn't really resolve your issue in any way.

I wonder how is that possible...wait..nevermind.

I really hope this wasn't a weird auto-asphyxiation sex thing. That would really make people not focus on how good his career was.

Aww, that sucks. I remember he still does shows for the History Channel and stuff. He was good in a lot of movies too.

That would really overshadow his career for the next few years.
I think his death has probably put more of a dampener on his career...

RIP, grasshopper

EDIT: \/ yeah, knew what you meant. Was just being facetious.

Yeah, but what I mean is that whenever someone famous or good has an odd or embarrassing death it tends to get more focus than their career for the next five or so years.

:)

RIP.

Unfortunately if it is found to be true that he was involved in some kinky sex, his name will be smeared by the tabloids.

I watched his TV show Kung Fu as a kid and loved it. But, I never knew then it was Bruce Lee who came up with the idea and wanted to star in it, but couldn't because he was Asian. As great as that show was, I think it would have been better with Bruce Lee as the star. However, the half American half Chines character Kwai Chang Caine was a huge success and seemed to fit very well within the story. Perhaps even better than Bruce Lee.

RIP, Mr. David Carradine.

It didn't do much for Michael Hutchins's career, that's for sure.
