anyone play the game? I would like to hear some first hand impressions, the reviews ive seen haven't been all that good. average at best.

There's a demo for this game in the November issue of OXM. I only played it the day I got the demo and didnt like it at all. The graphics were pretty lousy compared to say Midnite Club 3 or NFS:U2. Also, the physics were pretty bad, the cars just slide all ovee the place with not much you can do to control them. I hope the actual game is better than this demo but i'm not gona get my hope up.
The real reason to get Novembers issue is for The Suffering 2 and SW Battlefront 2.

i rented it yesterday and it isnt bad, but its a mixture of BURNOUT,DRIVER & GTA VICE CITY except you dont get out and walk, PIMP MY RIDE ??? my A$$ !!! you pull up to WEST COAST CUSTOMS and you see your car drive into the parking lot , somebody talks, and the car comes out with a body kit and wheels, you dont pic any parts, colors, nothin !!!! what a joke.

But if there's only a demo version in the november issue of that magazine, how did the rental store get a hold of a copy?

Or am I reading it wrong?

The November issue is old.

Many of us are still waiting for December's instead...and expecting hopefully a small, tuned Xbox version just for a demo.

I played the demo. The game was cool, a bit. But its reviews were so bad I don´t think I´ll get the game.

L.A. Rush is a mix between Midnight Club, Burnout, and a rotten fish.

The physics are iffy (an unsuccessful stab at realism in what is most definitely an arcade-style game), the graphics are impressive in some ways and disappointing in others, the music is nothing really special, the "customization" is automatic, the car list is uninspired, the spectacular, slo-mo crashes get old REALLY FAST, and overall the game is unpolished.

L.A. Rush is a poor attempt at cashing in on the "street racing" genre, and an embarrassment to the Rush series.

When I heard about this game, I was excited, expecting a fresh, updated version of Rush, with shiny graphics, Burnout-like driving physics, and lots of crazy jumps, shortcuts, and acrobatics. Instead I got a ****ty Midnight Club wannabe. For shame, Midway...for shame... :grumpy:

well if you look at the TITLE it says LA rush, i dont see many euro cars in LA, there prob keeping it realistic.

You are kidding right? Go to LA and see what people drive, there are a ton of BMW's, Benz's, Jags, etc.

I rented this over the weekend and played for about an hour. Seems like everyone in here aready covered what I would have said about the game. I did like some of the cars that could be driven that just arent in any other game. Besides that its only worth renting IMO. Kinda nice driving a 1988 Olds cutlass. My friend has one and it is a car you just never see in a game.
