Ok so I like Many of the G25,27 fantect, and rs500 users, all the wheels that have a clutch pedal, have noticed that the clutch as been disabled in GTA.
This really ticks me off because their are certain sections in the 8-5 challenge were i could skillfully use my clutch to allow better control on the corners.

But NOOOOOOO. GTA has to make it fair. FAIR? ok so alot of us high end wheel users paid good money for our wheels, we got used the the crappy clutch mechanic that GT5 as fed us since GTP, And guess what, they force us to race the final event, with a 370z, witch as a 6 speed CLUTCH manual, as a paddle shifter.

I don't know about u, but if the finals HAVE to Be on a Wheel, then why scale down the few high end wheels down the the DFGT level,

Main reason it makes me mad? i KNOW i would be a hell of alot faster then 1:32.7 if i could use the clutch, hell just bring the clutch system from GT5, they didn't have to redo it.

Thats my rant. :grumpy:

You'll be slower than the faster times with that clutch, no matter what.

It has to be equal ground for everyone involved.

You'll be slower having to use manual clutch. Auto-clutch, auto-blip, semi-automatic shifting is what every one has to use. The only thing that could be a bit faster is using a button clutch, but that's not configurable in GT5.

You're kidding yourself if you think you need any peripheral tool to go faster, just get out there and lap more, that's it.

Nobody else has a clutch either.......

If you actually can get faster with a clutch, then so can many others, you are not unique. It's "apples to apples" the way they have it set up.... Why don't you just DRIVE into the 1.31.xxx's like the rest of those guys that have the exact same setup you're using?

I'm pretty sure this competition is not setup to find "The Next Best Clutch Guy"....... I believe they are searching for a DRIVER.

So a pad/stick user is on equal ground with the wheels? with their steering assists?

Cars have steering wheels (may or may not have a clutch), that you have to be able to use to drive them, they don't have DS3's.......

the clutch thing annoyed me too at first, but as nobody has it so yellow is yellow

If you really think about it, I believe that the class of car the GTA winners will be racing in a fully sequential racecars without an h pattern stick shift.

this may be true, but how bout the academy itself?(IRL) we all know a GTR will be used in, but the 370, i really don't think they would want to change a street car over to sequential to test driver skill. actually scratch that, 370 as that auto-rev match gear box. nvermind, takes even MORE fun out of driving stick, may as well drive auto. lol
