Lack of Toyo Supra RZ '97 & Nissan R390 Race & Road Car tunes

It feels like PD has forgotten one of Japan's most historic muscle cars in this version of GT. It really sucks because the Toyota MK4 Supra is one of my favorite cars of all time. It even saddens me more that there aren't any tuners that are interested in this beast of a car. Fully modified, it has such great power and acceleration capabilities.

I was only able to find 1 Supra tune online, but the tune didn't suit me AT ALL. There was just horrible understeer throughout the whole turn. It was one of the few times where the car drove so horrible that I couldn't bare it for a whole lap. I would be glad to send any of you guys a fully modified Supra RZ if you want to take a shot at tuning this beast.

As for the Nissan R390, I have both the Racing and Road Car versions, and the thing is silky smooth to drive. It's really a nicely balanced car. I'm sure one of you geniuses could make this baby even better! Same with the Supra, I'd be glad to send one of these to any of you guys that would wanna take a shot at tuning one of these cars.

I do have a nice tune for R390 GT1 Roadcar. It will be unleashed in the future.

Don't play with my fillings!!! I've made a thread requesting for an R390 tune before, and have been waiting for one ever since the release of GT5. I will definitely be waiting! :dunce:

You could always test a car from MFT and request R390 tune for it, I could send you the setup via PM ;)

I actually have applied many of your setups before. As a matter of fact, I just bought a Toyota 2000GT from the OCD and fully modified it. There were 2 reasons for that. 1) I'm very intrigued with this car's lines. 2) You guys had a tune available for it. :D

I'm using all the settings from your tune except for the brake settings. I usually prefer front bias brake settings, so I thought I would try that first. The 0/0 brake settings and ABS OFF settings are a bit overwhelming for me at the moment. I'm going to do a few laps with front bias settings and then switch to your 0/0 settings to see which I prefer better.

P.S. - The SLS and Volvo C30 tunes were spot on. Both a blast to drive with my G27. 👍

I'm in the middle of tuning the MK4 Supra, but man is it a monster! I'll give it a little extra attention when I get back to GT5 (Tuesday). For some reason the all Supras in this game, understeer, for the MK2-MK4 (for some reason no MK1 for us) this shouldn't be as the Supras handle amazingly IRL.

That's because MkIV Supras and such are nose-heavy pigs IRL too. Cast iron block, while good for big power, isn't so good for improving handling dynamics.

Well that's what we have bad @$$ tuners, such as you guys, around here. You guys are the ones blessed with the power to rectify a car's weaker points.

BTW: the Toyota 2000GT was a real treat to drive. The car's characteristics reminded me of my S2000. I'll write more when I have some time later.

Yeah I have been an idiot with it. At that time I had tune a couple cars and the RZ popped up. I slapped on all the tuning parts and tried my hand at the beast. I'll say that I was in over my head at that time. Shortly after my disk developed a crack in it's center and I had to wait for another disk. When I got a new disk I had lost some of my driving skills, and still didn't know what to do with it. So I sat the car down until I could gain more tuning knowledge, and driving skills. After observing many conversations about most of the odd aspects of tuning and tuning cars myself I have grown in my tuning abilities. I feel like I can give this car a better shot and make it handle like it should so I'm going to return to it.

He does, and stop reviving dead threads, the last post was from 4 months ago……and you could have just PM'ed him, y'know…actually, you won't as you are new…

I just thought it was weird that she asked politely then he said yea I got one but I don't want to help you; maybe later. It's 3 months later with no R390 tune.

Where's the problem? I've seen other guys who tuned it.
There are R390 tunes posted.......

Real life weight distribution is 53/47. The in-game is 60/40. I can only assume PD intentionally borks the balance on certain cars to handicap them for whatever reason. Same goes for the Mustang GT with 65/35. :odd:
