Laguna Seca Lap

GT3 isnt exactly perfect. I've seen the corkscrew portrayed in heaps of different ways on heaps of different racing games.

GT3's Laguna Seca is the pre-1999 configuration. They modified the Corkscrew area after a CART driver lost its life there, in 1999 (Gonzalo Rodriguez, or Rodriguo Gonzalez, i can't remember his name)... He hit the tire wall, flipped over the wall and landed upside down at the bottom of the hill... They since flattened the Corkscrew a bit, to increase the safety of the corner.

It's not 100% perfect, but it's a better representation then some games i've seen. (Sports Car GT comes to mind)

Ah! I see. Most of the other racing games I've played have the flattened laguna (most of the Toca's).

Did they ever work out what happened there? I know there was some talk of a stuck throttle but it seemed to peter out.
