Laguna Seca problem

I've tried a search and didn't come up with anything so I thought I would throw this out.
Can anyone help with me with the final corner of Seca? I try carrying a little speed through the final corner and consistently run off the track, however if I really brake it, the AI is up on me in no time and I'm racing them back to the finish. Is there a hint on how to maintain a little speed making the corner?

Thanks for any help!

Slow way down. Way down. There's almost no way to have any kind of push going through there without hitting the dirt. It can be done in a LeMans car, but not much else without 4000lbs. of downforce.

Get on the Brakes HARD at the "3" marker. As the car starts to rotate, get back on the gas gently. Turn the corner as close to the inside (your left) as possible.
Once you are around the corner, you should jump back on the throttle HARD. The AI behind you will be in the dirt and getting sideways, giving you time to widen your lead.
On this particular track you must know when to go slow and when to go quickly. Trying to go quickly thru the slow bits will mess up your line thru the fast bits.

i have the same problem sumtimes, try to start braking on da outside of the corner (to your right) and brake into the corner(to ur left) until you reach the apex and let off the brakes slowly and give full throttle once u past the apex.

Yep. Lift, brake, downshift, turn, turn, turn, and don't get on the gas until the car is pointed straight.
