Lambo Vs Zonda

I recently saw a BBC Top Gear program that talked of the latest Lambo up against the Zonda.

The Zonda is a car that gets used a bit in my place. Goes like hell.
Anyway, they created a test course, designed by tech guru's from Lotus to really test different facets of the 2 supercars.

The new Lamdo looks, and is, drop dead stunning. The most beautiful thing on wheels yet made.

It was done like a dinner though in two tests by the Zonda. They first had a straightline sprint - I think 1000m and then a spin around the test course - upon which the Zonda beat the Lambo by 6 seconds.

Amazing........ :D

Yeah, I also saw that eppisode, but another thing is that they showed that the Lambo has better handling than the Zonda. offcourse there was only a very slight difference but it is true that Audi did a great job improving the Lambo's handling. The Zonda however has a power advantage and is faster on the straights.

But man, those are 2 incredible cars!

Before playing GT3 I'd never heard of the Zonda and although it looks very Italian, I was surprised to read it was a Mercedes engine.
In the game I do use the Zonda from time to time, and its a fast car for sure. This program dealt with the reality, not the AI of a video game. I am still surprised to see the Lambo look ordinary in comparison. The 6 second difference in the lap time was amazing.

And although it does look like a supercar, and goes like one, the Lambo is still the most awesome looking machine on 4 wheels, the only other car that comes close is the Diablo. For me, at half the price, and drop dead looks - the Zonda misses out.

Hopefully the Lambo will be in GT4. It'll be interesting to see whether the game produces the cars with a performance difference that reflects real life.

Please justify this.

The Murcielago is 25Kg heavier than the Diablo, but has more power, therefore posts near identical acceleration and top speeds.

Have you ever seen a Murcielago in real life? Or a Diablo?

I'd be very interested in hearing your reasoning for your statement.

The Murcielago looks really cool in real life :) So how much does the Zonda cost anyway?

I am at college, and dont get the channel that Top Gear is on (is it Speed Channel!?) and I was wondering where could i go to download the latest episodes. Like websites (not things like Kazaa).

Top Gear have their own website - it hangs off the main BBC website.
You can get a weekly update of activities from them if you want. :D

The Top Gear mag is a good read also, but down here its quite expensive. :(
