I've said it before, if I ever had a Lamborghini I would opt for the roadster/Spyder version.

Yellow Lamborghini... Yellow top missin'... that 🤬 look like a toupee. I get what you get in ten years in two days.

The Reventon is just a Murcielago that looks like a Hot Wheels car. The roadster is just the lower performance version of it. 👎

I want this car so much. Normal or top off. I really hope it comes to gt5 soon. I seriously think its gonna take top spot for my fav lambo replacing the diablo.

The only point of owning a Lamborghini is to get laid, so therefore I would also get the roadster for more effective layage.

As Clarkson would say "I'm having a crisis!" that looks awesome! I know it's only a rendering and all but I like it. Personally I still think the Murcielago looks better though..

Before you go spouting off your dislikes, try researching the fact first that the Roadster models are nearly impossible to tell, performance-wise, from the Coupes. Acceleration stats & even quarter mile figures are basically driver's races. The top speed is the only area the Coupes are slightly faster at by a few mph.

It was that way for the Murcielago 6.2's & 6.5's as well as the Reventon, so it will more than likely remain the same for the Aventador.

Don't convertibles have handling issues?

Renderings remind a bit of the Hot Wheels Reventon Roadster...

Not saying it's bad, though.

They have some body flex that's noticeable through some uneven road, but as far as track performance goes, the Roadsters/Spyders are generally only around a second slower.

This lowered performance (even if it is barely noticable) added to the fact that they cost more and make it impossible to keep your interior clean makes me hate any convertible supercar. I know this is just an opinion, but hey, if you are going to get a performance car, why take out the performance part?

If you're buying a Roadster for performance, then there's your problem; they're not intended for it (hence why there are no official lap times, so the performance on the track actually is somewhat unknown). The fact they keep up so well regardless is something to give them credit for.

However, for the owner who wants to have some "fun" on the highway, the car is identical to the Coupe in the straights in nearly every way up to around 200mph (you will never be able to tell the .5 difference in a 0-100mph run between both cars). I see no "lowered performance" there, considering most convertibles built will never have such similar/equal acceleration numbers to their coupe counterparts.

oh yes cos being slightly slower is a problem when you have a Car that you can't max pretty much anywhere on earth, except on a race track. :scared:

People don't buy Lambo to test their driving limit....they buy it to look good.

Exactly. The key part of "Supercar Roadster" is the Roadster.

Still not my cup of tea, though. :dunce:

Yay, another Lamborghini to be called a "sick Lambo" by kids and over-paid football players and celebrities. 👎
I've lost any love for Lamborghini after the Diablo disappeared.

To me? It's just how I look at them, they're extremely expensive cars that I rarely ever see anything to do with legal racing done with.

It looks weird in that Verde Ithaca color (looks more like guacamole to me).

But still, it made me smile.

NEW 2011 AVENTADOR CONVERTIBLE!

Coming soon to a rich oil sheikh near you!

Look at an Aventador in person. Look closely at it. It is hard to NOT love that car.

Surely that is no fault of Lamborghini's? If you are going to blame someone for that blame the people saying it.

If the Murcielago is anything to go by, I'm sure we'll see the Aventador racing at some point...

The Murcielago R-GT/SV did a fairly good job "blending" in with the other FIA GT cars because the body design was still smooth & curvy, with just a large diffuser & spoiler placed on.

The Aventador is really a lot of angles to give it a menacing look, so it will be a very interesting car to have the standard racing modifications applied to it by Reiter. 💡 Hopefully, this new V12 holds up better to racing as well. The old 6.5 didn't do well until towards the end of its life.
