Was racing in a room of regulars a few days ago, and High Speed Ring comes up with a PP limit of 625. I decided to go with the Murcielago SV, hoping the 4WD grip would make the banked turns easier to manage. The car had full weight reduction and engine upgrades, as well as the aerokit with default downforce. I set the transmission top speed, suspension lowered 10mm and just a bit of camber, but otherwise left everything else default. ABS 1 only.

Get to the first corner, oversteer, overcompensate, and wipe out completely (fortunately not taking out half the field with me.)

So I spend the rest of the race driving cautiously at the back, experimenting on the turns and find the track nearly impossible to get around without wiping out.

Later on, offline, I take the exact same car on the same track for some practice laps to see what's up. Funny enough, no problems whatsoever. The car is easy to get around the track, I can throw it into corners, make mistakes and recover without too much trouble. Try a few other cars like the GT-R, a ZR1, an Audi R8, etc., but the Lambo is actually giving me the best laptimes without a whole lot of effort.

So I'm thinking I must have made a mistake online... maybe had sport tires or something dumb like that. I start up my own lounge and try it out again - and lo and behold, the car is virtually undrivable. I cannot take a single corner on that track with any speed without losing control.

Intrigued, I change cars and try the ZR1. Maybe it's the track that's difficult online? Surely this car must be even more diffucult, no? No! It's just as easy to drive as it was offline. Same with the GT-R, Audi R8, etc. In fact, just about every other car I try at 625pp is no problem, it's just the Mucielago that has massive problems.

Anyone else noticed this? I rarely see the Murcielago online, I wonder if this is why. I realize online/offline physics differ, but this is the most extreme example I've come across.

Probably this is caused to the online/offline tyre model differences... they suck for sure.

However, I have something like 10 SVs in my garage (love to try crazy colours on 'em - Al Thani blue, matte purple and stuff), most stock, some partly tuned, 2 fully tuned, and they all handle well when I play online as well when playing offline. Haven't tried to limit the engine to 625PP though.

Maybe try to maximize the aero, lower the engine power a bit and see if it helps. On racing soft tyres, the Super Velocé handles like it's a god. Completely different to the LP640...

Oh, and make sure you don't have assistances turned on. Things like traction control can result in horrible under/over steer.
