From what I can remember its 300 bhp with just as much torque. But it has a special engine management system installed to have close to no turbo lag whatsoever. And when you are in the passenger seat of this thing you squeeze in it big time! The acceleration was something I never felt before. Too bad I wont be seeing that car anymore as the previous owners sold it.

Did you go for a ride on a rally stage or somewhere else?

yeah the Engine managment system has been reffered to as a "miss firing" system. in a short deffinition it shoots gas through the engine and when it ignites it causes the pressure to continue the spooling affect of the turbo, therefore once you get to full boost you stay in that area...But anywho, great car. Beautiful in my eyes. Lucky you

No not a rally stage... I wish! It was around the paint shop where the car was being taken care of, which is really close to where I work. So driving the car was actually illegal at that point, but the guy let me and my bros be passengers, one at a time as he booted it down the street and was doing abit of slalom with it. My bros did a piece out of aluminum for them to cover the front bottom of the car to pass a Canadian Rally rule. So we got a favour out of it

Yep thats the one Punkrock. But now they dont have it anymore. I think they lost the sponsorship from Yokohoma or something. From what I heard they got themselves and Eagle Talon TSi now. So Im pretty sure they dropped a class. That Evo5 is still running, but its got a new paintjob ( a really ugly green, with new pilots, and still Yokohoma as the main sponsor )

Thats true Punkrock, but didnt Besner drop one class because of it? Besner was vice-champion last year with the Evo, too bad they couldnt keep it and maybe win this year.

i like gsx's and tsi's but i do not think that you can compare that car to a evo... its not comparable unless much work has been put into the gsx/tsi...

No one can even come close to Subaru's official team (though if Mitsubishi actually sold EVOs here, that could change, just look at the SCCA championship), so my guess is that instead of wasting money on a used-up and beaten EVO to still get their asses kicked, they simply sold it to another team, and concentrated on something else, which would be their current Talon. I haven't followed the Canadian rally scene in a while, though.
