So yesterday my laptop was running really slow and clogged up full of ads every time i wanted to go any where online, it would redirect me somewhere else and websites (like here for example), would have ads in them when they are not supposed to.

Apparently its a malware issue (??) and i have tried fixing it myself by installing Mcafee and my mum suggested deleting some of my downloads, ive done both and neither have worked.

Any help welcome, also im posting this on my phone so keep that in mind if your going to post links ☺

Use Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyweare to scan the adwares and malwares. And choose a better antivirus program to scan for viruses. Also, delete your restore points if they're not that important before scanning and deleting the malicious files. Because even if you deleted the malicious files, as long as you have a copy, in this case a restore point of your computer with infected files, your computer will still be infected even after restart. So delete the restore points first. But be very careful because you might need some of those restore points.

Thank you very much for your advice, I'm now back using the laptop having bought and downloaded Malwarebytes 👍:)

Dont ever use mcafee.
I would also try spybot S&D, Combofix as well as malwarebytes wont get everything.

If nothing important is on the machine why not just restore it.
