A couple of months ago I had downloaded Linux onto my university laptop. After using it for a few weeks, I had decided that I preferred to use Windows, and erased Linux from the computer.

However I think I may have screwed something up, because when I start up the laptop, after it boots into Windows and loads the desktop, it opens the following error window:

"RunDLL
There was a problem starting C:\\Windows\System32\LogiLDA.dll
The specified module could not be found."

Basically I think i may have accidentally erased a module that I shouldn't have when I was removing Linux. However I can close the error window and the laptop works perfectly fine afterwards.

The laptop is an ASUS X550C with Windows 8.1

Any help would be appreciated.

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the task manager.
Click File
Select RUN
Type in CMD and check Run as Admin.
Click start.
---------------
In the CMD prompt type in the following

SFC /scannow

This will scan all windows files and replace any missing or corrupted ones.
Reboot and see if it still happens again before you try punk's method.
