I believe I've heard clergy characters say, in prayers in movies, the words "spritus, sanctus (or sancti) dominus, and something that sounds like it would be spelled omnis/omnes. Are there any actual Catholic prayers which contain all such Latin words, if so, what are their purposes?

Spiritus Sanctus is the Holy Spirit
Dominus is The Father

There are quite a few prayers and litanies in Latin used by the Catholic Church. Why Latin?

Because...

I find it slightly amusing that Latin is claimed as the Universal language of the church, it is used to prevent the "vernacular" from distorting doctrine through translation, when in fact Latin was the vernacular of the early church. It was the language of choice because the church started in Rome, and the scriptures actually had to be translated from Greek to Latin to accomodate. Mass was even celebrated first in Greek.

Nevertheless, Latin is a universal standard by which the church can say the doctrines are kept undistorted, yet Latin itself is not unchanged from that time.

Latin is also used by the scientific community for exactly the same reason, a universal and undistorted language known by scholars of whatever native language. Our species catalog is Latin, as are most medical terms and a significant part of our legal terminology.

Most western European languages have their roots in Latin, as well, so it's not as difficult to learn as many would believe.

To the Moderator that changed the title of this thread, while my question should have been more clearly asked, it was not intended as one of asking what the Latin used in some prayers means, or why it's used. I specifically wonder about certain words I've heard in movies and tv shows, and if there any specific real Catholic prayer that contains all of them. It is my mistake to have said all such words at the end of my list of words, as it infered I was asking about Latin in general. Sorry for the confusion.

I think that's kind of like asking if there's a Baptist prayer that has all the English words. Not sure now what you're looking for.

He's asking if there is any real catholic prayer that contains all those words. and if so, what is it used for.

well, omnis/omnes would make sense because it can mean something like "all."
