Doing it right now in a stock Peugot 908 HDI (Team Total).
So far my drivers did the fastest lap with 4:25:180, but only cause i keept pushing them. (car is stock with 680 HP)
Race started in the rain and it is still raining after 9 hours driven. The first 2 hours i gave my drivers instructions, so they managed to get a 3 minutes lead, driving laptimes around 4:26:xxx to 4:29:xxx.
I went to bed and slept 6 hours, guess what happened? Right, they drove now ~3 minutes behind the first car with laptimes around 4:44:xxx to 4:50:xxx.
I pushed them again before i got to work (where i am right now), so now they are only a few seconds behind the leading car which will pit the next round.
After work (in aprox 8 hours) i will be back home to kick there butts again, cause i know they will be minutes behind the leading car again.
Immo that "fall asleep" pace tempo is annoying.
(should i have wrote this into race-reports?)
Well, i´ll write down the rest of the race now.
So i came home from work, switched the tv on and was shocked:
The track was dry and my drivers drove on racing hards and were 2 laps behind the leading car (Bentley Speed 8) in 6th place now. Well with 16 of 24 hours over i tried to pull off a win, but was not sure if my drivers could do it. I called them into the box to refuel (only as much as needed to safe time) and put on raceing medium tyres.
After 18:30:xx hours my drivers had one lap gap to the leaders (1st Pescarolo C60 Hybrid, 2nd Bentley Speed 8). I kept holding my drivers in 3:40:xxx laptimes and got closer to the leaders.
I managed to shrink the gap between the first car and mine to 2:44:116 Minutes after 19:44:xx hours.
Push, push and the 2nd place was mine driven 20:48:xx hours now. The Pescarolo was 41:445 seconds infront but went into the pit, so after 20:53:xx hours the first was in striking range (4.976 seconds).
Leadchange in lap 283 after 20:56:xx hours!
RACE OVER: 329 laps driven, fastest time 3:35:660 and the VICTORY.
That was tough, i was not sure if my drivers could do it, but they did!
And my PS3 slim? Outstanding job! She now gets her break after 24 hour nonstop running.
