To celebrate the first GT1 race of the season this weekend in Abu Dahbi, we are going to be racing the cars in that series in my Le Mans! Club at GT Planet. GT1 racing is a series of races. So, I though that we'd do is a 3 set championship series this weekend with points. At the end of the third race, 1,2,3 overall would get cars of up to 1 mil, 750k and 500k. Last place, as always, gets some matte paint. Point system will be 4 points for 1st, 3 for second, 2 for third. all others get 1. You have to use the same car for all three races, but you can tweek them. I will come up with a PP that will get them even as possible. Its going to be a different field for sure.

DB9, Nissan GT-R, 670-4 SuperVeloce, Corvette Z06, Ford GT

We'll use the no chicane map, 4 laps each. Last race will be a night race (with chicanes) as they have the championship race at the end of the day after all the other races.

If you want to watch the real race this weekend, I think coverage will start at about 4am Eastern Daylight Savings Time Friday and it will be on the GT1 website:

I am having lots of luck with my laptop that has an HDMI out to my LCD TV for streaming sports and also Dish TVs on Demand. Cords are cheap now, I got a good quality 25' cable for $10 and my 3 1/2 year old laptop can put out a 1080p image that looks great, much better then on the laptop.

NOTICE

Notice, I am going to reschedule my races this Sat for two weeks later so I can watch the GT1 live coverage on GT1world.com. The PP for the race in two weeks will be 583, btw. Next Sat is the 24 lap classic race cars (GT40, 330P. etc with a second class for the 2 old RM cars).

More info on both those races will be coming next week.
