Le Mans Series Cars

I think it is kind of budget that all of the LMS and ALMS series cars (all 4 classes *GT2-LMP1*) are not unlockables (or only a few)

I work at Sebring International Raceway (which is tragically missing since it is the 2nd most famous endurance race in the world) and am trying to collect all of the LMS/ALMS cars featured in the game. The cost way too much to get them all

Believe me, after a while you will have more credits than you know what to do with. It shouldn't be a problem getting them all. You may have to run a few events a couple times in order to build up your credits, but it can be done.

The hardest one to get will be the Nissan R92C which you win after beating all 34 driving missions.

Also, cars don't become "unlocked" even after you win them.

by unlocked i meant just having them in the garage. what are you refering to? that once you win them you cant buy them (the ones that you cant purchase in the dealers that is)?

i still havent hit the point you describe with credits. I did however start doing the endurance races in bspec and that is stacking up monies pretty quick. i think tonight i am going to turn on one of the N'Ring 24 hours ones and do that thoughout the night and during the day tomorrow so tomorrow evening sometime it will be done
i wish there was a way to have it go back to 3x after pit stops w/o having to be there to watch it and go into race view mode

He was refering to the R89C, you have to complete driveing missions 30-34 to get.

The R92C, Toyota 88-CV, Sauber C9, Bentley speed 8, all have to be won the rest you can buy...

im saving up for the Audi R8 LMP car right now. Audi is our official vehicle at SIR. too bad they didnt include the r10 since it was out before the game released. I also might splurge and get the c5r gt1 car since i wont have to wait as long for that....maybe ill just win the mclaren gt1 to tide me over! i need that r8! haha

No, it wasn't even close. GT4 was released in Japan on the 28th December 2004, in the US on the 22nd February 2005 and in Europe on the 9th March 2005. The R10 TDI was unveiled on the 13th December 2005 and didn't race until 2006. Just to set the facts straight.

my mistake. i forgot the release date of GT4! well it would be nice to have it in GT5 anyway. along with the puegeot and zytek LMP1s. hopefully they will lock down porsche so they can get the RS spyder in there along with the acura arx LMP2. corvette c6r will obviously be there. would be nice to see the aston martin GT1 and GT2 cars since they have the manufacturer. Now that they have ferrari we SHOULD see the f430gt i HOPE! again if they get porsche their GT3 RSR is amazing and having the ferrari v porsche GT2 showdowns would be iconic to say the least!

the audi r8 is the prize car for winning Circuit de la Sarthe 24h I. I suggest A-spec the race it is quite an experience. however B-spec will do it aswell.

I think that GTP-Sebring Race was asking why most of the LMP cars have to be purchased from dealers and are not prizes for winning events.

I agree, way to expensive to have them all. I have made do with the 4 black cars from the used car lots and the prize cars .

Yep, your right. I was still short a cup of coffee when I replied.

A-spec is definitely an experience. Took me a total of 6 days to complete. (Obviously not racing the entire time.)

i REALLY hope that gt5 will include more of the LMS/ALMS cars. hopefully after the 2010 reworkings of the ACO rules we will start seeing the LMS/ALMS cars be able to cross over with JGTC type cars and vice versa. They organizers are trying to move towards a more standardized format so that more manufacturers can enter into more races/series without as much money required to do so because of different regulations/restrictions
