Hey guys, i had some cool races in GR.3 today. But the last one... dont know exactly if the block from my frontman was ok or not. He has failed in the big curve and gets slower. I came up and do my move to get the inside before the corner, but he blocks me... in this situation my reaction was to dodge to the left to prevent an impact... but this was a bit stress for the following drivers behind me.

Was it a legit block from the 1st, and is my reaction acceptable? Thx 4 constructive feedback!

Did you forget to brake at the end of the video?! That would have been a punt and a half! The first move was legit and you did the right thing by taking the outside, but maybe missed an opportunity to cut back on the exit

Yes, he can change lines do defend his position and he defended the inside line. :)

It's not a block. A block is when someone changes lines more that once between corners.

Thx. But he risks nearly a crash, it was really close. Is it worth to defend it like this? I never do this when someone catch me up, because the risk for a crash is just as high. Or not? Im confused... :D

You're the one behind so you're the one responsible to not crash into him approaching a breaking zone. Especially one so tricky like that (slower corner on the track).

Me, no. You mean the AMG driver? Yes...

Ok, that makes clear to me, thx!

Seemed legit and fair to me.

The AMG driver should have put some more thought into what he was doing/approaching.
Yh, he should really learn the break points... way too late!

Thx, guys, now im a little bit wiser :-)

Looks legit. Personally, one is only allowed one move to defend. More than one is not sporting and in real life FIA racing can lead to a stop and go or worse if repeated after a warning. However, I've had clowns constantly swerve left and right on a straight to keep me from passing. Not sporting at all.

Yh, you can catch this clowns mostly on tokyo express way on the long straights :( really bad :(

...TBH with you, it is a bit bad done, usually when you are planing to block, you go for inner side much much earlier, this was intentional done when he saw that BMW will go inside...

Not really. What's the point of wasting you only defensive move not knowing where your opponent is likely to go or just opening up the door?

I'd call it a grey area. It was one move but done in reaction to the car behind. Your move after seems fine.

3rd place was just plain not paying attention and crashed himself out. There was plenty of time and space to react to what was going on ahead.

This is my opinion, it's probably why I don't win races, but also probably why people send me messages saying how fair I am after races...

The porsche guy took his position in the middle of the track or not defending the inside line. He had no chance of defending either line as you had so much more speed.
You made a move for the inside, he blocked you expecting you to 'give him a push' and kill your speed/move.
The car behind you was going for the outside line and reacted badly to you reacting to the porsche.

The porsche guy should have accepted your move and tried to counter it after you passed.

Maybe I'm a bit harsh thinking he wanted you to give him a push.
The rear view mirror really does make cars look further behind then they really are, the game would be better if the rear mirror made cars look closer than they really are. Or just made them look where they really are.

That such a ***** trick blocking in that manner giving the Ford behind no option but to hit the grass. That's deffo known as a romain grosjean school of dangerous driving

I agree with it being a grey area.

On one hand his move was legitimate and only one move was made so its not classified as blocking.

On the other hand, it was a very obvious reaction to where you were going which can be considered blocking depending on who you ask. It was a last ditched attempt to keep you behind for just another corner.

This is just from my perspective anyway, he hasn't legally done anything wrong but it's a bit of a cheeky move.

It's a fair move, if somewhat late. I'd probably be angry if someone did this in front of me. Not sure what the guy in third was doing, don't think he was ever going to make the corner (but kudos for avoiding contact).
