Leonard Nimoy Passes at age 83

WHAT!

Wow this is sad news, glad he played Spock one last time in the new Star Trek reboot. He must have inspired a hell of a lot of scientists and others.

Rest in peace.

I just read about this on Twitter. I don't even know how to respond or feel at the moment.

RIP, Leonard.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Nimoy. You will be missed and remembered as you were one of the few who changed the world for many. \\//_

I just heard of this and feel very, very sad. While I was never a Star Trek fan, he was a true icon of sci fi, and it's always sad when people like him die. RIP.

RIP Leonard Nimoy, it is a sad day indeed, and not just for Star Trek fans but for Science Fiction fans everywhere.

I wouldn't call myself a trekkie but I did grow up watching Star Trek re-runs, and Spock was one of my favorite characters.

:(

Goodbye, good sir. Guess I'll be watching Wrath of Khan this weekend.

"I have been, and always shall be, your friend."

NASA is mourning the passing today, Feb. 27, 2015, of actor Leonard Nimoy, most famous for his role as Star Trek's Vulcan science officer Mr. Spock. The sci-fi classic served as an inspiration for many at NASA over the years, and Nimoy joined other cast members at special NASA events and worked to promote NASA missions, as in this 2007 video he narrated before the launch of the Dawn mission to the asteroid belt. Nimoy also was there for the 1976 rollout of the shuttle Enterprise, named for the show's iconic spacecraft.
