Hi everybody!
I am an old geezer that loves online virtual racing. Found this amazing forum and I look forward contributing as much as I can.
I will start my participation here with a rant. Sorry.
Everybody must be aware by now of how bad Pcars 2 is on consoles. I have been anxiously waiting for this release for a long time and even did the mistake of pre ordering it. I couldn't imagine that announced features would not be available at day one. Nor could I imagine that the Graphics would be that bad. I even don't care about the other endless bugs.
Being totally deceived, I started a post in the official forum with the title: "Again... another unfinished game". Although I had the merit of opening the discussion and commenting a point here and there. The thread obviously became inflammatory when pages and pages of deceived customers dropped their 0,02.
One of the mods even contributed to the flames when assumed that the game was not tested by SMS themselves on consoles. They had a third-party do this job. They trusted them blindly and were not aware of the bad condition of the game. I don't believe that Mr. Ian Bell, the CEO himself, didn't get curious about the product they were about to sell and didn't try it at least once. For me it was just a business game. They were aware that GT Sports was to be launched soon. They couldn't let GT to be launched earlier. So they did it. Apart the lack of features and overall quality, the game was released broken. Period.
Imagine that after 2 days I was BANNED for just being the OP of the thread that also disappeared. I didn't swear, offend, or mistreat anyone. Just gave them my honest perception. Other complaining posts/threads were removed. I realized that SMS staff was fully aware of the terrible unfinished product they've just put on. They were not emotionally ready to deal with honest customers complaining for its rights. Someone of their staff gave the the order to delete all threads with complaints. They needed to keep the fire low.
I think this situation is emblematic. It speaks for itself. I hope that in this forum we will be able to speak ourselves in a polite way.
Regards,
