What are your thoughts on the Lexus IS300.
I'm In love with this car, ive sat in a black one with black leather (e-shift model) very nice fully loaded.

The only bad side i personally think its a bit pricey at around 50K
Canadian. But. Its a lexus ;)

I love mine. :D

I have the 2001 E-Shift, black on black. Personally, I think it could have done with about 50 more horse power out of the box, other than that, and you can't select 1st gear in the E-Shift mode, she's a wonderful car and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Unless Doug want's to trade his M3 for it. :D

I've done a little bit of work to mine to get her to perform better. I put 18x8 wheels on her and wrapped them with BFGoodrich G-Force KDW2's. HKS Coilovers, HKS Exhaust and Swift Racings intake and ECU. She's a bit faster now and handles like it's on rails.
So I'm even more pleased with the IS 3.

Hey Boom, how do u like my IS sig/avatar thingy.. i decided to make my sig look like a peice of art ;)

black on black is
can u try to find a way to post pics of your ride man!i wanna see that bad..!

Yeah, I've been meaning to post up some pics. I took a few the other day, suppose I can put them up for you. ;)
But your gonna have to wait a bit, I'm at work right now.

I love the looks of the car. Of course, I would choose the manual, but other than that I love it. I really wouldn't mind having one.

The IS300 is pretty nice. Personally, I think the interior is a bit too busy, but otherwise it's very pleasing. Personally though, there are a few cars that I'd choose over it in its price range.

Wow!!!
My favoruite Pop, and my new favourite car i guess

Yeah, that's what I thought too when I first got my car. It was really the radio unit that made the dash look really "busy." But I had that replaced for an aftermarket unit so the busyness has been subdued.
But in an odd way, I kind of like that "busy" look. Makes it seem more like a pilots cocpit. :D

Damn, theres a IS in Japan that has 800hp i think and man o man is it one hell of a drift car! i saw a video.. ill see if i can find it again.

Ah, true, true. :) But, you know, being a Mac user and all that, I'm all for simplicity. ;)

I'd love to have an Altezza RS200/IS300, but I never see myself in one =\

The one pictured below participates in a drift crew in Japan, I think that was on Mt. Akina as well...

The IS300 is my 4 door dream car. Smooth styling, a peppy engine with a nice amount of modding potential, and a very smooth ride.

Like what? The only sports sedan I'd choose over the IS300 is the AWD BMW 330xi, and that's quite a bit more expensive I think.

A Subaru WRX STi or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. They have a little bit too much boy-racer bodywork on them for my tastes, but their bang for the buck is incredible. :)

And if I wanted something more comfortable, I'd choose a lower-model Audi A4.

It depends on what you're looking for. best sports sedan is something that could be very different depending on the individual.

My Evo isn't anywhere near as refined or luxurious as the IS300, though it is quicker. I can't speak for the STi, but I assume it's the same way - you'll favor whatever your (or Hooligan's) personal preference dictates. The bottom A4's are nothing compared to the IS300 (though they're much cheaper).

Theres also the G35, but the IS300 looks a tad more refined to me.

In my opinion, the G35's not in the same class. It's quite a bit larger, and the specifications and features don't really vary between the (two?) trim levels. I'd match the G35 up against the Acura TL-S, Lexus ES300, and - gasp, sorry Infiniti - Infiniti I35.

Is The IS300 the best sport sedan on the market?

Once again, my opinion: If they had more trim levels and body styles it would be. Remember, BMW has a wagon (rear-drive and all-wheel drive), sedan (rear-drive and all-wheel drive), coupe, convertible, tuned coupe, and tuned convertible; Lexus has just a sedan and wagon. BMW also utilises two engines; Toyota is too afraid to bring the 2.0L I-4 (IS200) to the US.

You know, I've heard you can get about $50,000 for one. But it may not be true.

Also, would a BMW 3 series be considered part of its class? Even if so, I'd still take the Lexus; great car. And the interior is really nice as well.

.EDIT: Ok, nevermind about the BMW part, it was mentioned earlier though I had read it as Audi somehow.
