Youchi Imamura is one of the best drivers in the D1GP, and has been competing in the series since it's inception in 2000. He is currently the only driver to win the series twice (2003 & 2009) and has won 13 events, more than any other D1GP driver. He originally raced with APEXi in an RX-7 FD3S but switched to the Top Secret 350Z for the 2007 season. He then made another move to Potenza D1 who were using an S15 Silvia.
Currently, he is driving a Lexus LFA for OTG Motorsports, which is powered by a NASCAR V8, and is currently joint 13th in the standings alongside Akira Hirajima. The 2016 car was debuted at the Tokyo Auto Salon D1GP Exhibition Event alongside the Toyo Tires Nissan GT-R R35 and features a unique black/yellow livery with Dunlop sponsorship. The GT-R, driven by Masato Kawabata, is currently 2nd in the D1GP standings, with Daigo Saito's Toyota Chaser leading the standings.
