Lexus SC300 '97

why do you have ballast, it makes you slower, instead of thet you can also play ith the camber, and the springrate.

for your first setup nice, but, the tyres are too soft, try r2's or r1's.

and do you have aids on???

I have TCS on 1 - due to a horrible wheel spin - the balast is to get the a$$ end down - I've been racking my brain with this one - I released it due in part to the good lap time on the Ring. I am open to any critisim and opinions to perfect this rocketship.

Thanks,

S. Chapman

I'm speechless. I mean: Here's my BMW M5 Hurricane+ '09 which has excatly the same Suspension settings, excatly the same brake ballance, excatly the same amount of downforce for front and rear and excatly the same LSD settings. This is just too weird. I've nothing more to say to this :indiff:

Holy 🤬...that's just too weird to be a coincidence...

Chapman2424, you realize that just because a tune works on a certain car doesn't mean it'll work on a completely different car, don't you?

And Nenad, I don't think excatly is a word...

...sooo this thing is like, so not cool?
I have to uh, make a few adjustments. Yes, adjustments...

Okay, but seriously, what's up with that?

Here are my views on the matter...

Personally, I do find it a bit odd to be more than just a coincidence for the following settings...

Suspension
7.5/7.0
115/135
4/6
6/6
1.5/1.5
-2/1
4/7

Brakes : 4/4
Downforce : 30/30
LSD : 15/50/60

...to be the same ones my friend S-Line Audi Fan installed on the BMW M5 Hurricane+ '09. I hope this is a horrible mistake from us, instead of a horrible steal from you. 30/30 downforce I can accept. Some of my cars use it. LSD? I believe it can be original from you too. I use multiples of 5 for the LSD settings. But the same suspension arrangements? It may be more than a coincidence...

Once again, this is just my view on the matter. As a member of AMMT, I would sincerely appreciate if you could explain this to us, Chapman2424.

I mean't no disrespect - as I stated above this is my first tune and racked my brain on the setup - it just didn't work. Yes I did use the suspension setup from the hurricane - soley cause it was a large-mass car and it worked and I found it to work quite well on the Lexus. My apologies for plagarizing - I din't mean to come off like that - I will remove this post as stated.

Although I think S-Line Audi Fan may disagree with me (since he was the one who tuned the car), I'm fine with the apology. Believe me, I was not saying that just to call you a thief, but you should try a bit more. Every car is different on itself. Yes, some cars may share similar settings, but sharing the exact same settings is something rather odd to see. 👍

Not to sound like a ****head, but you put it up, and put it on another car right? If I made the same tune as you would it be a problem? I've had afew tunes that are close to the other tuners, here..... If he opend say a garage and used your tune that way, I would be mad!

At the risk of sounding extreme (and I am not of the opinion that the following is) and as head of AMMT, I will inform a mod of this. Thank you for removing this Chapman2424, but I believe that it is best that this goes through the proper channels.

Edit: Some advice, Chapman2424. If you do wish to use another's settings, consult them beforehand and remember to credit their work. Just remember to do that in future.

Very good advice 👍 I think it was a good idea to delete the original post too, and in this instance I reckon the apology is sufficient 👍

I think it goes without saying that it is not a good idea to reproduce someone else's work without their permission and claim it as your own - extreme or repeated incidences of plagiarism would be considered worthy of an infraction, but in this case I don't think that's necessary.

Obviously, people only post tunes so that others can use them, and 'adaptation' or tweaking is always going to happen - however, I think it is only fair that adapted tunes should be credited as such. A simple private message to the original tuner and an acknowledgement (i.e. "This tune was adapted from xxxxxxxx's tune) would be sufficient.
