To whom it may concern,

Hi, just emailing to ask if there’s any plans at the moment to decrease the difficulty for the license tests for casual players?

I understand it’s early still, but just wondering as a casual player myself, they’re quite tough and I’ll never achieve gold in all of them especially the last super tests. Even if you included micro transactions to receive gold for a price would suffice, in my opinion. Because, there’s no way I could complete some of them. I’ve been focusing on them all weekend and yesterday to no avail. I know people will argue “just get better” but some of them are ridiculously hard.

Thanks

Why should a self-admitted casual player be able to get Gold? Why do you feel entitled to that?
How naive are you? It’s not about being entitled to anything. If there’s no plans to decrease the difficulty, then fine I’ll live with it. I was merely asking a simple question or if there was any news regarding them. My god, I ask about getting gold, but no someone thinks I’m entitled to it, because I asked a question regarding it.

Lol, okay, but I can't see how that even comes to mind. Like, the whole point of Golds is to be a challenge.

You can pass all licenses (and mission challenges) by getting bronze, so you are not stuck in your progression, why do you want to gold them ?

If you really want gold, well you'll have to work to get gold.

I like platinuming games, that’s all. You need the gold for all tests that. I’m only asking if there’s any news about them.

I understand that, but good luck platinuming GT 7, it is possible with a lot of work and for a small part of the player base. I just abandonned the idea for Gran Turismo Sport, at least GT7 looks a lot more feasible.

Gold is for the faster players, if they made gold easier for you, it would in turn become incredibly easy for some.

If you can't go faster, try again and again if you so desire, otherwise you just have to settle for your times.

I can count on my fingers the number of times that licence test times have been adjusted after launch - and that's across all licence tests in all of the games over 25 years. They've almost exclusively been adjusted so that the times are different in different regional versions, and since that's not a thing any more, you can almost entirely rule out any such change - and certainly not changing the difficulty across all tests, or the thresholds for golds.

There's a demonstration run video for each licence test, and I recommend you watch it to get tips on lines, braking points, and corner apex speeds.

What are you struggling with in particular? Car control in some of them is very tricky... but mostly the times aren't too difficult. I've yet to Gold the S License tests, but so far perseverance has paid off with all the others.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I thought it was worth an ask at least. I tried all weekend, honestly morning to evening....but no such luck. Some yes, I got better. But, others to me personally felt like a masterclass in driving with a controller.

Thanks again, lad.

At the beginning, it is car control. But, I do learn to get better after a few tries. But, there’s one (can’t remember which number) but it involves a formula 1 car. That test is impossible to me. Some of the tests are doable and the times are easier, but others are super strict.

The platinum trophy in GY7 is going to be a cakewalk compared to GTS. Unless you're trying to do a speed run to get it, just play through the game and come back to the licenses when you get better at the game. Getting used to the new car physics is going to be different for every player. I haven't done the Super License yet and know that S-10 is going to be a challenge. But I'm confident that with practice I will pass it.

If you're like me, you might have been backing off in the Super Formula car, because you don't expect it to grip so well, but it grips unlike anything in the tests.

I really would recommend sticking with it. The game is only a few days old... do some of the other stuff so you don't burn out on the license tests and I'm sure you'll find improvements.

You're right, they are ridiculously hard. I've been playing Gran Turismo games for over 20 years and I still have tests on those old games that I was never able to gold. I haven't golded all the tests on GT7 yet either and probably won't until I get a steering wheel. Currently I'm a low A-rated driver online so slightly above average and the game is still giving me fits. That's just the way GT works lol, always has been.

when I first tried to drive the F1 cars in GT Sport I felt like you have to be a ninja to drive them, so fast, so reactive, I could not believe I'll be able to achieve anything decent with them. But with some training I managed to gold the event. Which I would never have thought possible in the beginning. Be patient, come back later and try again if you will.

I wasn’t asking for a night and day change to the times or anything. But, it would be nice if there was an option at least. I’ll keep trying, without a doubt. But, I know I won’t get gold on one or two

I hear ya. I tried to set it on easy for my 5 year & 10 old nephews but apparently that is useless. I don’t know why they bother with game difficulties if easy isn’t going to actually be easy. If the game title says 4 years old, then a 4 year old should be able to play it. The offline part has nothing to do with the online part.

The best part of the replies in this thread is those who will do anything to express how much they hate themselves in life. If these egotistical sociopaths don’t have a “feel good” in a video game they lose all sense of themselves. You can’t have fun in a video game if they can’t feel like they are elite; it’s because most of them are losers in real life so they need to feel empowered in a game. Why do you think poly sent out a survey recently about mental health to its players?

In the offline game, easy should be easy. Why does some man child who lives in their parents basement and needs to have every game be impossible, just so they can waste their life away mastering it to try and stroke their own fragile ego. If you look at the replies above, that’s all it is, sick people who feel so poorly about themselves they need this to exist or would fall apart. It’s pathetic. The type of people who tell you what to think, how to act, what to say. It’s the alt left. It’s mental illness. What does it matter if your single player offline game is easy and you blow through all the trophies? Does that effect them? No. Do you get money for it? No. It’s purely some trash mentally Ill looser who needs video games to justify their lonely existence.

Dont worry, these people are the reason big companies are losing money and everything is canceled. Soon they will have nothing. Get woke go broke. Who cares how others play an offline single player game? Losers who need to justify their own existence with a video game pixel trophy that means nothing. Losers.
