Linda Smith dies...

Not really current, but I only became aware of this just now.

Linda Smith, who many Brits will know from TV comedy panel games like Have I Got News For You (pictured) and QI (as well as more frequent radio appearances on News Quiz and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue) died on 28th February, aged 48, as a result of ovarian cancer.

Jeremy Hardy wrote an obituary in the Guardian:- here..

She was born at Erith in Kent, a town of which she said: "It's not twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Dagenham."
