I'm a regular competitor in the WRS, having taken a bit of a break after something I felt was unfair.

My current problem, though, is that I don't seem to be able to get a file into .max format.

I've started using Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) as my OS, and have also downloaded and installed from source PCSX2 (Playstation 2 emulator).

I've also installed WINE (a Windows API translator), as well as several utilities to work with PCSX2 and the memory card files.

I have a GameShark2 that I've been using to copy files off of my real PS2 memory cards, and hopefully into the PCSX2 virtual memory cards.

I have also downloaded mymc in an attempt to convert a file that is on the PCSX2 memory card into a .max file for submission into the WRS.

If anyone might be able to help me further, please reply or send me a PM.

I don't have any experience with any of this, but how's it coming along?

PCSX2 doesn't seem to like the GameShark2, which means that I can't copy the files from my PS2 to the computer.

Have been trying to get further help from other people, but no reply back yet :nervous:

What's the purpose of having installed all this ? Hybriding ? Playing GT4 on your PC ?
I have a laptop using Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06) and have no problem getting .max files from and to the Max Drive stick.
Can you be a bit more specific ?
