Oh my god. That was the best response I've seen in a while Thorin. Ignore him, internet cowboy.
Thanks @killerjimbag. I possibly provoked it be ruffling some feathers on the Epic Whining and Crying thread the other night. Maybe not, but either way why would I want to ignore him? He's going to show us all the best tune ever.Oh my god. That was the best response I've seen in a while Thorin. Ignore him, internet cowboy.
Hello and welcome to our garage.View attachment 109787
Here we specialize in nothing in particular but tune everything.
DISCLAIMER: All tunes found in this Garage(at time of writing) have been created using a DS3 with stick used for steering set at 0 sensitivity, ABS set @ 1 and SRF on (Yes, I hear all the moans already...and I don't care!) and all other aids off. Just remember that not all drivers were created equal, we all have our own styles and skill levels and what works for you may not work for others.
These tunes will not suit everyone and to some may seem completely undriveable but they have all been extensively tested and for the people for whom they have been created they work better than the stock settings.
Most of the tunes unless otherwise stated were created at Grand Valley Speedway and have the Transmission settings for this track shown. Top speeds have been tested at Route X.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated as long as it is constructive, I am aware I have still a lot to learn and any ideas on how to improve any of the tunes in this garage will be welcomed. Even if they don't work for us they may help others.
That is, after all the reason most of us are here.
I am really just starting out here and am by no means a pro tuner. But I for some reason, have found myself in the position of being one of a couple of goto guys within my little racing community on-line from which advise has been sought and tunes have been requested.
So I have a little collection of tunes that I have been working on and thought, seeing that I have benefited from the great work of other tuners on GTPlanet that I would post my tunes here and hopefully be a little help to the community.
I have no background at all in motorsports (other than being a huge fan) and have a limited knowledge when it comes to all things tuning related. Having said that I do read a lot and have always been very keen to learn anything new.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people from our community who have helped me a lot, either directly or otherwise, in gaining the understanding that I have aquired so far.
Firstly, for the sheer volume of work he has done not only here in GT6 but also in GT5, I would like to thank @Motor City Hami for his extensive work on all things tuning related, a huge amount of time and effort has been put in to help all of us and we salute you!
Here is the link to Motor City Hami's Tuning Guide.
Secondly and I'm sure this will come as no surprise, I would like to thank the "Tuning Legend" that is @praiano63 for the huge amount of great tunes that he has created over the past few years and for also sharing his wisdom, especially with his Transmission set-up guide.
Here is a link Praiano's Transmission Guide.
Also @XS for his help with teaching this old dog new tricks. And of course taking the time to compile all of the tunes available here in GT6 and making an easy to use Tune Directory to benefit everyone as well as giving us little guys a place to be noticed in a full of tuning giants.👍

And last but not least, My tuning partner @Dirty_Duck who is also Co-Founder of our little garage and who does have a motorsports background, who frequently spends a lot of time with myself bouncing ideas around to try and get the best out of every tune we do here under the mountain.
Here are the links to a couple of tunes which I have posted previously outwith this garage.

I went on a little spending spree after Update 1.05 and tried out the new search function at the dealership.
I have always been a fan of the MR cars more than most, so I hit up a search for all of the MR cars at the lower pps (Sub 500) and bought up a whole bunch of them. I started with this one more or less straight away and found it to be a little bit of a handful, to say the least.
I then see that it was nominated for the "Difficult Car challenge" for April, quite unsurprisingly. I think it is a very good candidate for this and look forward to seeing how the other tuners deal with this.
I originally wanted to tune this car at maximum power (592pp)on Racing Soft tyres and then if I could manage that ok, I was going to try my hand at translating this into a 550pp Sports Soft tune and enter it into the challenge. I have clocked up many miles with this car and was almost happy with it during a test at Nurburgring GP/F when at 592pp I started putting in lap times below most of our other 600pp road cars. I was just unsure of the next changes to be made so I got @Dirty_Duck to give it a test drive and he suggested among other things to lower the power down to 550pp levels. I decided this morning to test out the new Data logger as I have not really had the time to do so yet and went back and did some laps @ GP/F as it was fresh in my mind and saved the fastest lap(Which was at the time 1:53.xxx) After taking in some of the data from the logger I added 1 click to the rear brake which took over a second off the lap time and later After a little more testing and another suggestion from my tuning partner(Reducing Roll Bars) I came back to the track and took my lap time down to 1:51.4xx with a minor excursion. The car is still very competitive at 592pp against most of the 600pp Road Cars but at 550pp I think it's got more than a real good chance of great results.
So may I take the time to introduce you to one of my new favourite 550pp Road cars, possibly my favorite 550pp car, period. The Ouillim Motors Spirra Prototype '04.
Have fun and enjoy your drive!
Thanks @GTPDAMO, for the kind words!Just wow!. She drives like a NSX, well done man good job!!

Another GT300 car has been given a little going over down here under the mountain. I remember the Asparadrink version well from GT5 and as I recall it was only ever second place to the Garaiya on the twisty bits. This version should give it a run for it's money and should leave it for dead on the straights!
And no the number is no coincidence, this thing is a fighter with superb cornering ability and will always give as good as it gets, so there was only ever one number I could put on it's Racing Plates!
We here under the mountain remember the mighty Marco Simoncelli #58, Requiescat in pace!
