I'm one who doesnt mind B-spec all that much. I play for the fun of it, and of course the extra cars and money is nice. What I do to make things interesting is to push my 'Bob' into doing better and better lap times. Cool him down, then push for another couple laps. Trying to beat his own lap times, makes it kind of interesting.

Well, since I do this I utilize the Live Timing Monitor frequently. Everything looks and works great except the 'Gap' time column. It only displays the Gap time from when they crossed the finish line. It should be the Gap time from the last sector crossed. The way its setup now its very hard to tell how your driver is doing in certain areas. Or if the AI is catching up to quickly and you need to push your driver a little harder. It really comes as an issue on the Nurburgring.

Anyone else utilize this feature and feel the same? Maybe an update can rectify it, but its not high on my list. Just something that rubs me the wrong way.

i dont think it shows up on the live monitor but it shows up "live" on screen as soon as the AI crosses the previous sector.

i think its "teal" colored if youre ahead and "red" if youre behind. kinda same when youre doing a spec.

or am i getting it wrong?

You're correct.

However, I totally understand what the OP is getting at.. Actually LOGGING those segment time gaps, chronologically, so that we (as Bob's puppeteer) can use that as sort of a visual reference, in regards to Bob's pace, to the rest of the field... :)

Would be a niiiice feature... But sheesh!

EDIT: Better yet, what would be actually NICER, would be a damn log/list of our laps ran, thus far, within the timing monitor... But, noooooo... They expect us to magically blink the moment Bob crosses the line, every lap, and remember what his last lap was, and compare the two mentally..? Sheesh, I'm already ADD enough as it is!?

True i noticed that too , it would help if you know how he is doing when he is cooled down, so you could go and do something else if he is still gaining/maintaining a lead.

I do the same, then see if i can beat his time myself. i was amazed that im actually quicker at indy then bob is in the x2010. but i guess im finally getting my brain adjusted to warp speed.

PD is forcing you to do math by yourself. :P

Long tracks like the ring or Sarthe, races are like 3-4 laps most, except endurance races. Race is over by the time live timing shows up...

If they can have live timing on A-Spec, why can't on B-Spec?

Agree, also I noticed with some of the longer tracks the final sector(s) are not represented in the split times, even if I scroll completely to the right. It's like the last one is just simply not there.

This is true. I know for a fact on Fuji. Was doing the B-spec FGT last night, so I had plenty of time to think about this stuff. lol

Previous lap times, sector gap times would be a welcome addition. I'm really hoping there are some improvements to this screen.

I also noticed that if a track has more than three sectors you can't actually view the last sector time. The scroll right arrow won't show the last one. This is really annoying too.
