Livery editor idea

Ok so I was thinking about livery editor and I think this is the best solution:

Since PD said there will be a GT6 app for iOS, Android and PC, they should implement livery editor into this app. This way, it would be very easy to (re)create even the hardest liveries. When a livery is done, we'd just save it to a USB (or GT6 cloud possibly) as a color for a specific car (assuming the livery wouldn't properly work on any other car except of the one that livery was created for) and then we would paint the car in GT Auto.

Just take a look at the car list, there's a lot of cars without a livery (like all the street cars and base model cars - these are racing cars without a livery) so I think PD is really working on a livery editor...

Anyway, this was just an idea that popped in my head that I'd like to share with you guys...

Yes, good idea. kind of like it was in LFS, right?

But not to be a major buzzkill but I think this thread will be closed, as there is a Livery editor thread already. But it hasn't been active for a while, so let's hope this one stays active.

I also really want one! Since i played forza before and livery editor was one of many things that made the game fun except racing. So i would really like PD to make a livery editor with endless imagination and just create awesome stuff!

I agree. That sounds like pain. But accessing templates through your phone is for sure a good solution

I don't think we will ever see the type of Livery Editor we want. If any is ever added it'll probably be a very simple, very, very basic editor. Maybe just a number and a color. Why? Manufacturers. The people we get the licenses from to use THEIR car in GT.

They allow their cars in the game to get exposure. Hoping to gain or maintain market share by having their product infront of us. Would a car maker want to see his product turned into a clown mobile being made fun of?

Certain cars can't be race modded. Is that a product of the particular license? Could be. The car makers are looking to continually improve their bottom line. I am certain some of the licenses are very strict.

That said what I do find odd is that BMW would allow the M4 to be released in the game prior to hitting the showroom. They either really trust PD to make it a good car or they have a lot of confidence in their product.

Many of us have already made car buying decisions based on GT. I know I have. I bought a Nissan two years ago because of how comfortable I was with what I'd experience of them in game and what I'd since seen of them in real world racing.
