'Livetrack' coded into GT5?

Pardon my ignorance. I did a search and came up empty. It could be due to the search terms?

Anyway, is PD planning to put any type of "livetrack" into the game? The term livetrack is used in a few sims and means the track layout is dynamic and can change during the race (think laying down of rubber, dirt, trackmarks, etc.).

Have heard nothing about that at all?

It would be great though but I doubt it will be there, we will have to wait and see.

I know the new codemasters F1 game is going to include a feature like that. It would be awesome if GT5 had something like that.

This feature could be very interesting. I will welcome it with open arms, though it could become annoying when your cars handling characteristics change every lap.

It means that the racing line stays clean and the part of the track that isn't build up bits and pieces of rubber, gravel, grass. That will have the effect that you lose grip when you're not on the line. Same goes for wet racing.

That would be great! I would love livertracks in GT5 or any other race game (sim).

When I read the thread title, I thought you were talking about this:

Real-time racing

Sega Rally on the PS3 had a somewhat similarly interesting engine running real-time degradation to the track ... would certainly make for interesting racing on some of GT5's rally stages!

I've been wanting this since GT4 came out but it will 100% not be in GT5. We'll be lucky to even get skidmarks.

It is a very important thing in motor racing (eg: track gets more grippy throughout races) so it should be in sim racing games as well

Less grip out of the ideal line would be enough for the first... But if it will include that feature you told,it will be surely awesome...

I think it would be cool.

I can't be 100% sure but didn't Crammonds GP3 or 4 have a similar feature. If I remember correctly the rubber would build up over the weekend,it definitely did over a race.
I know GTR had a similar system and simulated marbles, that was cool,
