:dopey: wow, is that how "Imminent" is spelled because for some reason I became retarded trying to figure out how to spell it...

Anyway, yeah so we might not have a hockey season... they have til midnight. đź‘Ž:grumpy:

What do you guys think of this garbage? Whose fault is it in your opinion? The similar problems a while back with the MLB were also troubling and debatable...

#1. baseball is bull****... wake me up when someone does something.

#2. Rightfully so Hockey should get more attention like the other sports do, they've been playing just as long as other sports (maybe longer?) but it's the other sports fault that this sport is struggling. Nobody wants to watch as REAL sport that takes mulitiple skills at a super fast pace so that's why there's all these sorry ass sports aka basketball, baseball, football. If you think I am biter your damn right I am. None of those other sports can claim the same things as hockey. So what you can throw a ball and catch it. Can you skate, stick handle, dodge people, set up plays and finally get a small ass black dot thru two pipes? I didn't think so...

So basically you're saying that the problem is that no one pays attention to Hockey (??) and all the other sports are stealing the attention away and that's why there's a lockout? I don't follow, nor do I agree. In Canada, Hockey is the MOST popular sport of them all. Just go to any Blue Jays game and compare it to a Maple Leafs game and you'd see the difference immediately. People are pissed off that there's to be no hockey this year, and I was asking you what you thought of it and why you think it has happened. You replied by telling me how Hockey is the best sport and requires the most skill. I am confused...

Basically I was referring to here in the USA because It does seem like hockey usually gets the short end of the stick when it comes to viewers. I was debating about the money issue because everyone is always trying to get more greedy namely the players but if you look at it relatively hockey players should be paid more then. Getting paid to play a sport and they worry they arn't gonna be able to buy that H2? Pssft... give me a break. God forbid they play "for the fans".

I have a solution for you: move north! Everyone loves hockey up here, and for the 3 or 4 people who don't really like it, well, we made them move to Winnipeg.

I'd love too, ice hockey accessibility everywhere and freezing my ass off all the time versus melting all day! SWEET! :D:tup:

True, the winters up here can kick your ass, but it only starts getting really cold at the end of December and everything is pretty much back to normal by April (usually). Unless you live in Quebec, where Summer is actually a day and not a season. In Montreal, they park the snowplows, host the Grand Prix, then put their winter boots right back on and grab the shovels again.

Oh boy I dont know where to begin. First off I read your profile and it doesn't exactly say where you live, but judgeing by that comment im guessing NOT in winnipeg.

Being from Winnipeg, your comment is totally In****ingaccurate!!!!! You have obviously never been here and lack common sence about our country!!!

Winnipeg is one of the greatest Hockey cities ANYWHERE in the WORLD!!!

Ever since the Jets left town, there have been numerous attempts to get a team back, and even DON CHERRY and a few other hockey analysts said WINNIPEG is truely a hockey town and deserves a team.

So where your comment came from?? I DONT KNOW, but your obviously not too bright, and its a pity I have to share the interest of hockey with you.

Winnipeg whole STARTED the "white out" many teams try to copy us!!
Winnipeg who hosted the World Juniors in '99, most succesful tounnament of its kind ever.
Winnipeg Falcons......First REAL stanley cup winners!!!!!!!!! (remember the yellow jerseys during world champions...ya they were remembering us)

But ya to say a comment such as that really gets me fuming, but I guess you didn't really grow up to be one of the brightest, and for that I really forgive you.

By the way.....where do you live????

Oh for crying out loud, will you RELAX? Instead of posting a huge angry reply, maybe you should turn down your tension scale and ask me to explain myself before getting so offended. I wasn't implying that Winnipeg is any less of a hockey town than anywhere else in Canada, only that it is friggin' cold as hell there, so a good punishment for people who don't like hockey would be to make them move there. I distinctly stated in my post that almost all Canadians love hockey. Are you Canadian? Then you're among those who probably love hockey, as is everyone else in Winnipeg.

Anyway, bottom line is that I didn't mean to make you so angry, but if you would just post a friendly request for me to explain what I meant, this sort oft hing could be averted.

Watch it there, buddy. Personal attacks are not tolerated around here, no matter how angry you are. That's two strikes. Next time you will be reported.

How sad....I was looking forward for this years season, so I could cheer on the the maple leafs. :indiff:

Personal attack??? I so sorry if you feel violated over the internet. Go ahead report me, do what you want.

Calling you "not bright" isn;t going to get me banned....I think your the one that needs to relax.

It was a sad day yesterday... So sad... :(

Thanks for nothing you 🤬 Bettman and all those rich 🤬 that won't be hurt in this lockout. You've successfully 🤬 so many people below you! I hope your happy and I hope your also happy that hockey will not be the same. Idiots...

Yesterday was a sad and its the Players union that is at fault. The owners offered 42.5 mil per team unlinked revenues to the players. Unlinked revenues!. They will never see that on the table ever again. Last year the NHL had revenues of near 2 billion dollars. This up coming season if it ever happens is expected at best to be 1.4 billion. If the next season doesn't start on time, there is no telling how much money will ever be left when they do start to play again. The President of the Detroit Pistons who also is in charge of the Tampa Bay Lightning said it could go as low as 800 mil. 800 million dollars! The players haven't just shot off their foot. They shot off the other one too. Idiots. :grumpy: đź‘Ž
