Log-in Bonus problem

Hi everyone

I logged in on Wednesday night to start the 5 day prize % bonus and it registered that it was my first log-in (since new patch). Last night I log in again and rather than saying it's the second day of consecutive log-ins, it shows it as day one.

Anyone else had this problem? Do you need to actually play the game or save? I didn't have time to race, I just wanted to start the bonuses stacking.

I've also been experiencing my PS3 freezing since the 1.02 which might have caused the issue.

I noticed this morning when I got my third log on bonus that the game did not save so I manually saved.

That could be your issue.

I had an issue where the log in bonus stopped working because I disconnected from the PSN. I paused the race, reconnected immediately, but the races still didn't issue the bonus, had to quit the game then re-enter for the bonus to congratulate me again, for it being the 2nd day.

Not having that exact same problem. But last night what it did was; after a few races it wouldn't register the bonus. Had to quit the game, restart it and it worked correctly again.

I have not experienced any issues but I do always manually save before I exit the game.

Also note that the bonus only applies if you are connected to PSN so if you see the message that you have been disconnected you will not get the bonus unless you sign in again. You do not need to quit the game, just pause it if you are racing then hit the PS button and sign in.


Correction, I think if you are racing when you get dropped then there is no way to get the bonus for that race. Once you connect to PSN you may need to do something in game that will reconnect the game to the server like go into the special events screen or the GT store or whatever.

It happened to me after I wrote the post and I just logged in to PSN then went to special events and then back to racing and started getting the 150% bonus again

Hmm, I just experienced this today but I'm certain I saved before exiting the game yesterday. It occurred to me that a game save might be necessary so I made sure to do it. Logged in today and I got another Day 1 notification. I hope this does not continue

If you really want your consecutive bonus, play with the time zone setting in ps3 menu so that you cross 00:00 several times in a day (on January 1 you can also justify opening several bottles of champagne with this "glitch")

But surely the bonus is registered on PD's servers somewhere, we can't just keep moving the date forward and presto, its the 23rd of December, and I have 200% log in bonus, isn't everyone still on the 3rd day?

EDIT: Also there's a massive spelling error out everywhere, its 150% for the 3rd day (just like before), not 140%

This appened to me today, the login bonus decresed to 110% and was login every day since 1.02 was released

It says saving the corner of the screen now and then. Is the auto save and the manuel save not the same kind of saving?

That's kinda weird that it does that. In GT5 it was tracked by GMT not your console (the day would pass at 10:00am for me).

Been doing the red-eye shift at work so I don't know if it passes at my midnight or GMT midnight.

I have keep the game and secret patches going as they arrive. No issues with getting daily bonus every day.

Logged back in today and got the expected 2nd day bonus. Hopefully I just forgot to save the game a few days back (although I'm 99% certain I didn't).

Crap, just logged in today to get 110%, did not know I had to manually save, sucks!
I was ready to grind all the past events to make some decent credits.
