Logitech Driving Force GT issues (PC)

I'm using the wheel with the PC not PS2 or PS3!!

Hey dudes,
lately I decided to buy the Logitech Driving Force GT and ever since I've had it (about 2 days) I've hated it because;
- I can't play ANY PC games with it whatsoever
- I can't seem to get a reply from Logitechs Support Team
- I can't find a reason why it's not working
- I can't find ANY compatible games for the PC and the DFGT

- Logitech Profiler 5.08 installed
- It is recognised as 'Driving Force GT USB' when removing and inserting into a USB port
- It does spin round on start-up and auto-centers afterwards
- It will lock up WITH ANY game I have tried so far

I spent all day downloading a legit version of TOCA Race Driver 3 from GAME.co.uk, a UK based games & console retailer, ended up I've wasted my cash on a 4.5GB file because it doesn't work!

It will keep locking, even when I try various methods like changing a few settings, unplugging the USB and mains supply plug socket, adding TOCA to the game profiles, changing the controller settings on the game.

I have to use 'reasonable' force to get it to turn 5 degrees but then it will lock back into center position and won't be budged.

Could someone help me please?

What games are definetly 1000% compatible with the PC and the Driving Force GT steering wheel and pedal-set?

How do I get it to work?

Thanks guys :)

Have you got the drivers for the wheel installed? Get them here

Does the wheel calibrate itself when it's plugged in to the USB port?

Can you see it in game controllers section of the control panel?

Friend of mine runs ToCA Race Driver 3 with his DFGT with no issues whatsoever, so hopefully installing the drivers should fix the problem for you

Driver... I didn't see you mention a driver, if you haven't installed Logitech gaming device driver then thats your problem.

The wheel should work just fine on PC (with driver installed), including with Race Driver 3.

I have installed the latest version (5.08) of Logitech Profiler, it indentifies and calibrates on start-up, spinning left to right and then finally resting in center position after it's finished.

If I remove it it says 'Driving Force GT USB removed' just like it would with any other hardware being removed from a USB 2.0 port and it says 'Driving Force GT added' when I plug it back in.

Also, it's all there and present in Game Controllers in Control Panel.

I cannot find the solution and it's really annoying me :grumpy:

Check your DFGT in the 'Game Controllers' section of windows 'Control Panel,, there you can see if everything works fine, axis, buttons, etc. On the force feedback page check the "return to center" setting, 100% is the default and makes the wheel hard to turn, if it's higher than 100% lower it, if not try 50%. If it still doesn't work and the wheel operate perfectly with your PS3 reinstall the logitech software.

I have the wheel working! You were right, all that needs doing is changing the centering setting which I did and now the wheel works perfectly. Thanks for helping me out, I appreciate your help :)
