Logitech Driving Force GT pedal problem

Hi everyone!

I have recently bought the aforementioned wheel and am extremely happy with it, except for one thing - while playing Need For Speed: Shift the pedals don't start woking until they're about half-pressed. It's not a bad thing when it comes to brake, but the gas is literally killing me. Trying to keep the car on a certain RPM level is almost impossible due to "compressed" sensitivity - it seems that whole range of pedal sensitivity has been squeezed into 1/2 - 1/3 of the working range. Pedals are responding normally when checking in Logitech Profiler, full range is working, but as soon as I get to play NFS, its'a all messed up again. Does anyone have any vague idea what I could do with that problem? I would appreciate any tips. Thanks!

Taken from another site:-

I had some trouble with the terrible default set-up and I honestly spent like 3 hours coming up with a fix that I would like the best.

This is what I came up with.

Steering Dead Zone: 0 (For sure it has to be 0)- You are right. Deadzones on wheels is a no-no
Acceleration DZ: 0 Left it at zero for both
Brake DZ: 0
Steering Sensitivity: 65 (can this ratio be improved?) Too high and you end up oversteering easily
Acc Sensitivity: 65
Brake Sensitivity: 65
Speed Steering Sens: 100 (This is the ratio that steering responds in higher speeds, am i wrong?)
Wheel Lock: 360 (games real wheel does not reacts 360 degrees, so i try the minimum 270 degree setup, imho that suits better?) I put it at the wheel's default.
FFB: 10 (lower ratios like 3-4 in FFB gives better results for lag between steering wheel and the game?)

thank you for your help. It did not solve the problem though, I have decided to return the wheel. Might be driver issue or software itself (NFS). Thanks again!

did you try anotehr game and see if you had the same problem? something like live for speed or maybe a pc game demo of dirt 2 or something?
