is it possible to use the wheel with just the USB cable on PS3?

someone offered me this, and told me that he lost the power adapter, but I can still use the steering wheel but with no force feedback.

A DFGT user can answer that question but you can find a replacement power adapter for the wheel(information is under the wheel). I have heard that finding the official power adapter is a pain so just get a universal power adapter.

Just buy a cheap power adaptor with the correct volts/amps etc and it will work fine, you can still navigate the menus when there is no power but I don't think the steering works

Mine works fine without power cable in, the only thing you lose is the force feedback.
