logitech g25 and gt4

i was looking to invest in a logitech g25 and i wanted to know if anyone knows how good it would work with it cause i don't wanna buy a 200+ dollar steering wheel and be left unsatisfied

Yes, it will be well worth it.

I would say that if GT4 was all you were using the G25 for, then its not worth it. A DFP is just as good (for GT4) and considerably cheaper.

If the wheel will be used for PC sims too, then go for the G25.

I agree with daan entirely, he took the words out of my mouth there. Or possibly the letters from my keyboard, or whatever the forum equivilant is. :P

The G25 is extremely well received among PC simulation forums, whereas for the PlayStation alone, Logitech's Driving Force Pro is a more cost-efficient 'wheel to go for. After all, it was designed for GT4, was it not? 👍

I got one - mainly for GT4 - I recommend it highly.
Yes, the DFP was designed specifically for GT4, but the G25 is much better in just about every way: excellent buid quality/ feel/ materials/ response/ feedback etc etc, and has the ability to be used on PC if you want.
Note that for GT4: the gearshift only works in the sequential mode, not in the 6 gated shift mode, and the clutch pedal doesn't get used. - This may change for GT5, though these are not problems, they're just extra functions not supported by most games.
Only one drawback besides the price: you will need to mount it on some sort of stand/ desk/ cockpit - it's not designed to be used on your lap at all.

That's exactly why the DFP is recommended over the G25 if you're only going to be playing GT4.

The better build quality isn't quite a good enough reason all by itself to justify the higher price, IMO.

Yes I have a G25 and it's worth it....IF you play more than GT4, I mean it works great with GT4 but if you get a G25 you might want to think about getting the LFS demo and getting the most out of it with the 6-speed shifter, and clutch.
