I have been browsing the net to learn more about the G25 wheel and the more i think about it, the more i want this instead of the cheaper driving force pro. I found an online shop in Belgium (where i live) that sells the G25 for under 200 euro.
But i hesitate to buy it because it does mention it's compatible with PC and PS2 but they don't mention PS3.
Allthough a guy that bought it there reviewed it and mentioned that it works on PS3 but the 6 speed gearshift and clutch only worked with Need For Speed Pro and not Gran Turismo HD or Colin mc Rae Rally (i guess the other ones don't support 6 speed).
Are there different versions of the Logitech G25??
To be sure... Is there one dedicated to PC and PS2 and maybe an other version of this wheel that is dedicated to PC and PS3??
Or is there only one version of the G25???
Do i need to worry which one to get if there are different versions??

The wheel is gonna be used mainly for PS3.

They're two different wheels 1) a right hand drive and 2) a left hand drive :dopey:! It all depends on which side you place the shifter as they are the same wheel and are very nice. Mine is about 1 1/2 years old and no problem.

Now comments like that are more likely to confuse him than anything else.

There is only ONE model of G25. Thats all he needed to know.

Thanks, will order it soon!

If it had a loose handbrake there are even 4 different wheels to choose from, gearstick left handbrake left, gearstick left handbrake right, gearstick right handbrake left, gearstick right handbrake right. And even up to 8 wheels depending you are using the handbrake alone or not or the gearstick alone or not. Not confusing is it??:D

But now that i think of it, is there a wheel with a handbrake for the PS3??
Or can i make a handbrake myself for the G25??

I don't believe that there is a wheel with a handbrake for the PS3, at the moment.

I believe you can make a handbrake for the G25, but I'm not quite sure if it'll be compatiable with GT5 Prologue.

As you can see from this video, a G25 handbrake was made and used with Richard Burns Rally for the PC.

Great! I read someone doing it with an old joystick to.
Will get to investgate this soon but for now i'm trying to put something together (some kind of desktop) to be able to play it from my couch.
I just bought the G25 today for 217 euro, no shipping just went to a store.
Looks very good and it has a great quality feel, the hydraulic on the brake pedal is very hard though... But i guess it should be??

Does the clutch pedal do anything in Gran Turismo? That's the only reason I wanna buy it.

Yes, in GT5P you can enable the clutch (and use it) by pressing the triangle button at the start of the race.

Not functional in any older Gran Turismo though.
