Logitech G27 Racing Wheel $269.99

Yeah, I tried it this morning too.....no dice for me either. Was thinking of either the G27 or the GT2, but not sure if I want to wait.
 
Man, i shoulda grabbed one when it was $209 a month before the release... now it cost even higher than MSRP! Dayum... guess ill stick with my beat up G25...
 
just spoke to a Logitech representative, reason being that i ordered my G27 yesterday and on the website it said In Stock and now seeing your post...so she said that they have them in stock. But its limited so whoever wants them place your orders as soon as possible...I've been waiting for them to be back in stock for the past month.
 
I have been waiting since Monday and I am dying to get the email saying it has shipped. Until then I am worried that it will go back on backorder....

I did order it through Logitech and no, it has not shipped. I am patiently waiting for it to turn from Order in Process to Shipped.... :(
 
It will take about 2-days for it to change to in shipped from order date. I personally will be sending mine back the day I get it, since they wont refund me the amount of this discount. They would rather have me send it back and order another one..

P.S. I saw the UPS truck hauling in something to my neighbors house and was like crap...thats not my drop off...so i went to the guys and was like hey by any chance do you guys have a package for my address? Waited 2 minutes and Boom he comes out with a Logitech box! i was so happy, ahhhh....relief.

Fanatec and Logitech are missing so many holiday sales, incredible that such big companies can make such mistakes...

Fanatec is not that big, and I'm sure they don't move a lot of volume.

In the case of Logitech, I bet the G27 is a somewhat low-volume product too. It's also pretty large and heavy, probably not something you want to keep floating around in inventory for month. Finally, steering wheels are things that probably take a decent time to manufacture, package, and ship. I'm sure there's quite a bit of lag before they can fulfill demand.

I think more than just the holidays, they got blindsided by people who decided to make a GT5 setup upon release. I remember finding G27's in store was easy and even easier and cheaper online until the game released... then they were gone!

I don't know if I'd count on that, I ordered mine the 11th, and it won't be here until tomorrow, and I head out of town tomorrow morning (cry!) but at least I have an after-Christmas present to look forward to!

Actually, I just got my tracking number emailed to me. Estimated delivery is December 23rd. Still is no guarantee but I've always found UPS to be consistent with their ETA. Hope you enjoy your G27 as much as I will!! :)
