Greetings,
I need a little help with the setup. GT6 has some options that are helpful. My first choice from the menu options is "Steering Characteristics" Steering type: Amateur, Professional, or Simulation.
Next is Power-Assisted steering On or Off. And last one is Feedback strength 1-10.

I picked amateur,
Power-steering OFF
Feedback set to 1.

I can barely hang on.

Any other adjustments I might try.

Thanks in advance and drive safely,

Kona

There are already some threads about this. I know because, I have read them, and answers/asked question in them.
Not all of the settings apply to G27. Some of the setings are for wheels whith less turningdegres. But you are not the first person to make that mistake.

Here are some threads aboute G27 and wheels. And good luck. It is difficult to get used to a wheel.

The feedback setting you have selected is quite low, I would suggest starting at 5. The reason being, with low feedback, you can't really feel anything. As a result, it might be as you describe. "I can barely hang on."

Thanks
That helps a lot.
I was able to get the bronze trophy with the red bull. Wow...without the racing wheel....I was all over the place.

Greetings,
Been working with the G27. Was able to get gold in the Red Bull Challenge. Way faster than the stick. Well at least with the red bull

Power Steering on,Feedback 5 this is very good.

The simulation/amateur/pro does not apply to the G27.

I've never used power steering--always off.

I usually have force feedback on 10, but today I'm experimenting with 7.

My wheel is mounted on a stand so it does not shift around while in use.

Yes, Sim, pro, ameteur does not apply to G27. Powersteering OFF.

FFB 5, if you go too high with the FFB you will get clipping and lose a lot of the small sensations you are meant to be feeling through the game. 1 is just way too low.

I should have mentioned I highly recommend the GTEYE Brake Mod for G27. Gives a much heavier, more progressive feel to the brake pedal, and you can then swap out your brake pedal to your clutch for a better feeling on the clutch pedal. Excellent service from Kristian (@GTEYE is an official GTP Site Sponsor ) and quick delivery, just days to go halfway around the globe.

I have my force feedback at 2, 5 the wheel it's to heavy and 1 it's to soft, so you lose a little sensitivity on the feeling of the behavior of the car, so i guess 2 is about right, i mean, works for me.

Yep, and put the spring from the clutch pedal into the throttle for an even better feeling throttle and a lot more modulation with the foot.

Greetings,
Can you explain "put the clutch pedal into the throttle for an even better feeling throttle and a lot more modulation with the foot? Are the springs different?

BTW, I switched the clutch and brake pedals...my fat feet got in the way of the throttle. I don't use the clutch...not that good of a driver...but I can switch them back if needed. Thanks SURE LIKE THE IDEA FROM GTEYE.

He means the springs from inside the pedals.
The GTEYE spring replaces the brake spring, switch the old brake spring to the clutch pedal, then the clutch spring to the throttle pedal, will give you more resistance and will be easier to modulate the throttle (control the throttle) for cars that require some 'finesse' to drive.

Yes, exactly what Jimantonic said, The default g27 throttle I found to be a little flimsy with little to no resistance at all. The clutch pedal spring has more resistance and it gives the throttle a much better feel.

Yes the springs are different. In order of stiffness, stiffest to weakest it's:

GTEYE
Brake spring
Clutch spring
Throttle spring

Most people consider all the G27 springs on the weak side although they are much stiffer than a DFGT for example and you can definitely keep them as is. But if you want to stiffen the clutch, you swap in the old brake spring. If you want to stiffen the throttle, swap in the old clutch spring. If you're happy with it, leave it as is.

Greetings,
Thanks that makes sense. Who would have thought Logitech would have used different springs.
