Hello,

I see a lot of threads on the net about the brakepedal. So, I'm aware of the brakestiffness of the pedal and I have made adjustments for it.
I'm also known with the curve at the end of the pedal.
But....I'm looking for info or a thread about the range of the pedal.
When I push the pedal to aproximately 70% of its physical range, it already reaches the end of the range in games and DIView.
Can someone point me into the right direction?

TIA

If you have access to a PC, I suggest plugging the wheel USB into the PC and calibrating the pedal range.

That's the whole point, calibrating doesn't help. After 70% input, nothing is being recognized.
I also play GT Sport ofcourse ;-) . So calibrating on pc doesn't have any effect on PS4.

From that I suspect you've removed the rubber brake "enhancement". The G29 hardware is designed to operate with that in place so if removed although you will get 100% of peddle travel you won't get that recognised by the wheel.

I know this because I use my older G27 peddle set with my G29 and noticed, like you, that my brake movement didn't correspond with 100% brake pressure on the calibration screen on Project Cars 2. So I was locking up when I shouldn't have been.

To solve it I fitted a solid bung into the brake pedal cut to a length that gave me 100% travel to 100% brake. Basically it replicates the G29 rubber bung but is solid. So although you miss a bit of travel your mind soon adapts and it feels normal after a while.

To get 100% travel I'd need to use my G27 and a PS4 converter.

Thanks. That's seems logical to me. I thought about it, but I never heard anyone talking about it. Remove the rubber, insert another spring and you're basically done. My mistake to think that the rubber did not effect the range of the pedal.
Thanks for your response.

Yes that would probably have an effect. I did have a stiff GT Eye progressive spring installed and that was pretty good at masking the missing travel since it was harder to press fully down. Eventually I added the solid bung as well.
