Logitech G29 FFB after 1.17

I'm the only one who feels weird ffb after the update? . Definitely lighter and without detail.
FFB for Logitech G29/G923 has definitely been changed in patch 1.17 (or whatever PD's been doing since patch 1.15, it's now impacting the Logitech wheels too). I did not make any changes to the wheel FFB settings (been using the same settings you provided earlier in another thread), and I immediately noticed the difference after loading up patch 1.17 for the first time tonight.

The FFB strength is now lessened, especially around the center, and not only that, the steering lock has been increased. The end result is that the wheel now feels much looser and far less precise. I could get used to the lessening of the FFB, but the increase in steering lock is a real killer for me, as I personally don’t like a high degree of steering lock, especially in racing cars like the Gr.3.

I normally don’t complain about stuff like this, but this change really frustrates me. After playing for about an hour, I just couldn’t continue anymore, because it felt that much worse than before. I don’t understand why PD has to mess around with something that wasn’t broken before and made it worse in the process :banghead:. As it stands right now, I may just skip over this patch and hope they fix it in the next patch.

Anyway, enough rant, there’s always ACC to fall back on....

I've noticed a change, but for the better: now I feel the road even more.

I even got a few easier gold in circuit experience and got a 1:39 with the Escudo without much time invested and feeling an amazing drive sensation.

I have a G29 and the steering lock hasn't changed for me. Can you provide more info on this?
The increase is not much, maybe about 30 degrees I'd say, but that's enough that I'd almost have to cross my arms already for slow-medium corners (where I didn't need to before the patch) like in the BMW M6 GT3 at the Nordschleife, for example.

May I ask what your G29 settings are at?

Yes, ffb with G923 seems really weird. As Autobahn GTO Says in his post, it's weaker and steering is totally off. I need to steer with much more degrees then before without feeling some feedback.
It seems ok with Gr.1 cars, but Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars are like dead, no feedback at all.

I hope PD will repair this, because now the game is much less enjoyable for me...

try to use 10 torque 10 sensitivity....we were talking about this in g923 solution post...
you can make it a little better, but still..its a thing PD NEEDS TO FIX...if they will
it looks like game code for logitech has more modes..when wheel is pluged normally and when you restart ps...like 2 different wheels 🤣🤣🤣
I was thinking...HOW HEALTY IS THAT FOR PS AND OUR LOGITECH WHEELS, it's not normal to restart always..🤣🤣🤣

Same - no change to the lock for me. It's one of my biggest bug bears with Gran Turismo that all the other racing games I've tried don't seem to have an issue with.

Full lock to me is about 90 degrees in EVERY vehicle
