Logitech G29 noob question

Hi,

I’ve just got my first steering wheel setup in the form of the g29 which is great, so far so good. But I do have one small query. I’m on the PS4 and with a controller I can adjust car settings during the race via the on screen box in the bottom right hand corner. I adjust these settings by selecting them with left and right on the d-pad and then adjusting the settings themselves using up and down on the d-pad. I simply can’t work out how to do this on my wheel. I’ve figured out that I can scroll through the settings using the + and - on the wheel but can’t work out how to actually adjust them. Any pointers please? Sorry that this is probably such a simple question but I can’t figure it out.

Doh... thank you, it seems a bit temperamental which is odd but I can live with it.
 
You also cannot be taking corners, or turning your wheel when you try to adjust.

Ah so that's what it is. I wondered why it was so fiddly.

I had a play on G29 last weekend and found that changing the settings to the D-Pad was much better. I also use D-Pad on my G25.
